never heard of this guy but when i looked him up it said that he was famous for working on master of orion and also coining the term 4x in a review of master of orion in a magazine, thought that was pretty funny that he reviewed his own game and got the review publishedhttps://www.cgwmuseum.org/galleries/issues/cgw_110.pdfthis is where the review is, on page 92. doesn't seem to mention he's involved in the game or anything, however it's not called a "review" but a "preview" and mentions the game is unfinished.i wonder if this is a case of poor "ethics in gaming journalism" or if this is a section of the magazine where it's presumed that only devs would have pre-release access to a game in order to "preview" it.anyway, rip, most of these gen x and boomer early strategy game scene guys are usually pretty cool.
