Does this mod have anti-player balance? I feel like every time I play a greenskin in Escann/Serpentspine the pinkskins do well, and vice versa

I know some of the disasters work differently for a player, but that’s usually to account for how brainless the AI can be about rebellions.

Lorents the ultimate tutorial nation, its rich, large, has vassal swarms, easy expansion, and ideal colonizer

Gawed is also strong but less so in each way. They've got a slightly more interesting setup where the Burghers have the monarchy by the balls and every king needs to appease them at the start of their reign or face the consequences. Around 1600 they'll also try to coup the king and take over the nation in a disaster.

Both of them have pretty fucking boring mission trees that are absurdly outdated

The region that interacts with the mandate of heaven mechanics is the Mothers' Sorrow river (not egypt).
Canonically it depicts the local peoples' standing with decadent, godlike sphynx-creatures in the area. The people keep them pampered and the sphynxes make miracles happen every once in a while in a symbiotic relation of sorts.
The biggest tag currently interacting with these mechanics while also having an MT surrounding them is Konolkhatep, formed by Gnollakaz the big Gnoll tag. Theirs is a story of Gnolls coming to plunder, instead finding gods living in luxury and going "wait we want in on that." It's the classic "City run by decadent bureaucrats fall to nomadic tribesmen only for the nomadic tribesmen to then become the decadent bureaucrats" story but with Gnolls. I like it, fun tag if not a bit difficult to do everything in the first run.

Harpies are just my new favorite race for playing tall (and wide). The roost mechanic just makes it so that any hills, highlands and mountain provinces are basically the same as an urban tile and a T3 roost removes all the dev maluses of those tiles and gives a dev buff. Even better the nation of mulen get mountain expansion priv for burghers giving you another 10% dev cost and you can upgrade your t3 roost to a hanging city for -40% dev cost (-60% dev cost in total) with other great modifiers like 30% manpower on provence and -10 gov cost

Mulen gets a ww general, use them if mulen, try to win big before the ai realises it has to use them as you can easily be stronger otherwise if siadan
then vassalise verkal gulen
Then around that time jaddarb owl should be happening
Then join in on finishing the loser if you can, though the winner will attack at some point so go for a big win on a mountainroostfort
If that doesn't work restart
Or potentially restart from jaddarb owl until zokka wins, seems easier

but mulen gets good shit for going through it as above

What the fuck are you supposed to do as the Viking expedition guys from ACE? The ticking clocks of food stockpiles and rebels are constant as army eats your already steadily decreasing stockpiles(if you want to hire any as you have zero regiments). The most basic mission requires you to earn 10 admin at once but have no hope of hiring the admin guy without shitcanning your already meager food source(that is based on RNG). Unrest causes rebels but ALSO eats into your food stockpiles.

You are supposed to start as Clouded Eye, your starting ruler is an elderly shaman woman whose divination helped cobson win at rottenstep, she quickly dies of old age and is succeeded by an orcish member of Corins circle who realizes that if orcs don't abandon dookans ways they will just keep dying and suffering and humans will always have a valid reason to genocide and enslave them, so she begins trying to build a modern and civilized orcish nation.
Then as Unguldavor you create modern institutions or borrow existing ones, integrate humans and half orcs (you have a mission which turns all your provinces with human culture into half orcish culture) and by the end of mt you are supposed to consolidate escann.

There were only two parts of mt which I found retarded:
1) as soon as you form Unguldavor you are supposed to insult corintar who were your closest buddies just beforehand
2) you create a puppet barumand in South castanor (as Unguldavor you are only supposed to directly own land in Inner Castanor), but for some fucking reason your puppet Barumand follows Dookanism

I played Ovdal-az-An, never had such a powerful moralemaxxed military. Divine ideas+defensive plus their NIs and modifiers from MT give a ton of morale. The MT was fun until the last section when I suddenly was required to have 100 temples (I thought it was going to be a tall game and didn't expand outside of the eastern serpentspine except for the easternmost hold in middle dwarovar). And also one mission required me to be a hegemon which honestly felt kinda off their theme so I dropped it when I was 3-4 missions from finishing it. But it was fun for the most part
Also pearlsedge formed Anbennar before absolutism in that run

The few tags that have recent mission trees tend to have pretty good ones, but a lot of tags still lack any or have relatively bland trees (the not-Korea in the north-east being the worst offender, it's almost as bad as the one Ireland has in vanilla Rule Britannia).

I did Yassa. It was alright. I considered revisiting the savefile but it's 1540 and there's at least 60 years of sitting around for anything interesting to happen and I just couldn't do it. Maybe another country has more disasters or other event chains to keep you interested.
