Didn't play the game, just saw trailer for it and it became a core memoryLost C&C game i like to call it.Somewhere between 2007 and 2009, around the time when Resident Evil 5 was teasered and released, i saw a trailer for an RTS game that resembled Generals. It was shown on one of those TV channels dedicated to computer games and tech.The trailer included both live-action and gameplay cuts. In the live-action segment, two old generals were shouting at each other through a video link while sitting in grey rooms that resembled bunkers or command centers. The generals looked like Granger and Townes, and i specifically remember one of them saying to the other, "Я тeбя yничтoжy! (I will destroy you!)". In the gameplay cuts, a female assistant, just like in Generals said, "Дoбpo пoжaлoвaть нa нoвyю бaзy, Гeнepaл (Welcome to the new base, General)". Not "commander," as is typically used in RTS games, especially in other C&C games, but specifically "General." One of the gameplay clips featured flamethrower infantry in red faction color pushing into enemy forces in a snowy environment. The health of the units was displayed not as a bar above them, but as a circle underneath, which changed color as the unit's health decreased.

There was a PC game in the 90s that had the same units and gameplay as Advance Wars for GameBoy Advance, but very simple graphics. It came in a box called The Big Three, with the picture of Churchill, FDR and Stalin, had a WWII encycolopedia, this game, and something else, maybe an Axis and Allies clone. I can't remember if it was made in Japan or not but there was no anime stuff. I remember it being so similar that it had to have a connection to Advance Wars but I couldn't find any info.

For me it's No Gretaer Glory: The American civil war.Never managed to win the game with the Union despite doing everything correct, my theory is that the game modifies the stats to give itself an unfair advantage but I just can't prove it.

I remember back in like 09-10 I played this 3d ww1 naval wargame centered on the battle of Jutland, like a lot of these niche titles it had dracoian DRM that required it phone home every week or so or it would revert to the demo version and later on they tried their own steam client knock off. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I think they made a similar game about the Russo-japanese war.
