I was a good way through doing a Loji playthrough before I realized the way I did it makes no sense from an RP perspective. They let you do it, but it's incoherent. I took the DemSoc political tree and all the other economic focuses before creating Loji and that, in retrospect, makes no sense. Why would people who have literally created a utopian demsoc society suddenly decide humans are bad and throw away the system they just built to hand it over to an AI? It makes no sense. I think the Loji path only works if you beeline for it right from the beginning, like Xi's failure and the social collapse has caused a crisis of faith that it's decided can only be solved with drastic measures. So they build this AI overlord hoping it will get them out of the shitshow theyve caused because no one trusts each other enough to maintain power for long. Loji then either decides humans are more worthy than they think (Servant path) and that inspires them to go down the DemSoc path, or maintains control (Overlord path) and sells itself to the public as being able to create that which humans could not: perfect central planning (Maoist revival tree).
