I'd disagree on TNO being a dead & buried mod, I just think it's moving in a very different direction from other mods of the same scale. TNO has always had a much bigger emphasis on story than on combat, and most of the ideas are on that basis. The German Civil War will be removed, but will be replaced by a very intricate minigame that is more in line with the theme. The USA will get a rework to make politics more "realistic" (having a Dem/Rep split and killing the NPP), but the idea is that it will have a more dynamic and intricate system. Overall, very controversial changes and ones bound to split the community, but not necessarily bad ones, certainly appealing to some players. Players who dislike this change have Requiem and other submods (obviously not an excuse/justification, just that there are more options). It also doesn't help the public perception the fact the dev team has adopted a new strategy. Instead of following a road map with full content for some regions all at once, each team is constantly working on their own country/path and updates come out whenever a team is ready to have one. This has some pros and some cons, namely that it allows for more complete and higher quality content at the cost of taking a lot longer and having updates be kind of random in their order.TL;DR: fuck assholes who called TNO a dead mod I hope you're the one that died instead, they just follow a different philosophy for both content and development.

My knowledge on the issue could be completely outdated, but when I was on the team he was just a codemonkey and did shit to make the mod work. Since KR is a stable mod without lots of drama and since he was a lead for several years I'd say that this probably remained accurate for some time at least.I just worked with the guy many years ago.
