With the Alptigin Sultanate occupied with several wars against the Toluns and Seljuks, Akhsar marches an army into Osrushana and seizes its holdings without resistance. Marching further west on Samarkand, emissaries from the city ride out, suing for peace. 100 miles of land is secured for the Alans without contest. The conquered lands are entrusted to the lead commander of the campaign, Suarn, who sits in Bunjikæt as an effective marcher lord.
In spite of agreements made six years prior, nobility in the eastern reaches of Jiuquan (Džučæn) begin riding into China once more, with local Tangut raiders under their command. This is met with tacit approval from the Khshaya, with caravans overflowing with spoils streaming west along the trade routes.

While Alans now made up the majority population in the Kæshgar region, the arrival of Anbal's 36,000 Alans 66 years earlier had displaced many of the Muslim Qarluqs, Uighurs, Tajiks and Sakas who had been living in the area up to that point. Though many moved higher onto the slopes of the Pamir and the Tian Shan mountains, many more still moved east into Kushan or made the journey across the Erkech-Tam Pass into the Ferghana valley. The people living in the valley were mainly Qarluq Turks, though many incoming Tajiks and Sakas - or, Hvamnai, as they called themselves - as well as a small number of Alans, had migrated. The Hvamnai were themselves descendants of ancient Scythians and spoke a language with, at that point, a minor degree of mutual intelligibility with Alanic. Over time, missions to their villages along the slopes of the valley converted many of them from Islam and Buddhism to the Christian faith and then they themselves settled in the larger settlements such as Andijan or Osh to proselytise. After decades of such work, the majority of the small-yet-cosmopolitan urban population had embraced Christianity. However, the rural Turkic and Tajik majority, many of whom still practiced pastoral lifestyles in the highlands, would cling on to their traditional Islamic religion for a long time to come.
Early one morning late in the spring of 1203, Queen Kera was discovered dead in her chambers, splayed out in a chair with a chalice of gold upon the floor. Her wine had been poisoned, though by whom nobody knew. When Akhsar remarried barely a week after her funeral to the young daughter of Aravat of the Zændjitæ Clan, the Hitsau of Zhetisu, hushed whispers began to spread that Akhsar or Aravat, or perhaps both, had a hand in her murder, though nobody would ever say it out loud. Likely as not, she was in reality dispatched by a jealous chambermaid and the remarriage was simply politically expedient. Nobody will ever know the truth.
As all of Akhsar's sons reach majority, the Khshaya faces a heretofore unprecedented issue: that of succession. Since Anbal's conquest, there had only ever been one surviving son to inherit. A law is drafted which decrees that the eldest legitimate son will inherit the Kingdom and that the remaining sons will receive accommodations in the form of estates upon reaching the age of majority.Ælbeg, Akhsar's bastard son, is granted land from the seat at Marghinan west to Havokand, and north to the left bank of the Syr Darya.Huddan, the third son, is granted the lands from the right bank of the Syr Darya north and west to the mountain peaks, with the eastern edge past the left bank of the Naryn up to the high pass at Karakul. Anbal meanwhile, inspired by his father's stories growing up, requested to honour the tradition of taking a position among the itinerant Alan Swords. Though the boy was born small and sickly, as he went through his puberty he seemed to never stop growing. By the time his father saw him off to his new mercenary life, the boy stood nearly 7 feet tall.

The diplomatic tension between the East Alan Kingdom and the Seljuk Sultans in Khwarazm had been long standing by the 13th century, as Khwarazm had long coveted the eastern coast of the Aral Sea and the cities upriver. The taunts and vile letters had been arriving for years until Akhsar could take it no longer. Resolved to see Sultan Ahmet in chains, Akhsar rallied his personal levies and began the march west.Hearing this news, Ahmet moved his own armies north and captured the city of Dzhænkent - at this point, notably, the city was mainly settled by Armenians, while the surrounding countryside and smaller city of Khuwara majority Alan - mainly settlers from the Steppe Alans. Akhsar's army was more twice the size of Ahmet's force and, when the former intercepted the latter, the result was quite predictable.Chasing the Khwarazmians south, he came upon a second, much larger force outside the town of Barategin, on the south coast of the Aral Sea. If the two forces had managed to unite before Akhsar's arrival, the result could have been disastrous. Fortunately, however, this second army was still slightly smaller than Akhsar's own, and the day belonged to the Armenian Lord Mayor of Dzhænkent, Roupen, whose troops folded the Khwarazmian left and enveloped the centre, dealing significant casualties to the fleeing soldiers. Moving on Khwarazm itself, the Alan army cut off a force of riders moving to rally the disparate routed forces. At the head of the cavalry was Sultan Ahmet himself. Akhsar moved his infantry to block their path and surrounded them with his own cavalry, leading to a slaughter. Ahmet himself was captured in the ensuing melee, and brought in chains before the King. Just as he had imagined it. The Sultan's baggage train was looted and the Alans returned home with the Sultan in custody. Akhsar was undecided on what to do with the man, but eventually decided that the knowledge that he would be below his feet for the rest of his life would be fitting.

From 1212 to 1214, the Kingdom is plagued with raids from nomadic peoples from the north - primarily Mongols, Khitans and Uighurs - fleeing Temujin's conquests. Akhsar spends many months leading his men-at-arms in defending the eastern borderlands.

Akhsar could not hope to match the Mongols for speed. He called all of the levies he could muster, but they were unable to rally before the Mongols had already sacked every settlement east of Lop Nur. The Kingdom was simply too overextended to be defensible against such a rapid force. The seemingly-endless Mongol army of mounted warriors was visible on the horizon to the Alans gathered on the eastern shore of the lake for a while, before they withdrew. Akhsar dared not give chase.
That's better.
Nothing really interesting, it's just a standard blobby CK2 map. But for some reason France has become completely Norman, which is quite cool.

it doesn't help that this map is based off an older version of the mod so some of the choices are even worse

The next few years would be spent fortifying the realm against this new threat as they trampled over the tired and discordant Steppe Alan state in the north with little resistance. In 1219, Mongol armies were once again seen riding towards the Kingdom. This time, though, they came from the west. In perhaps a twist of irony, the Mongols had sacked and conquered the Khwarazm Sultanate, listless and exposed with their Sultan remaining locked away somewhere underneath the palace in Kashgar, opening the western border to attack.
All of the available levies and men-at-arms were rallied and marched across the Erkech-Tam into Ferghana to meet the enemy. In addition, the Alan Swords were hired, commanded by the Heir Apparent, Anbal, and thousands more mounted Qarluq mercenaries were also hired to secure the flanks. Akhsar positioned his army on either bank of the Syr Darya in an effort to deny the Mongols the use of either of the key passes east and waited, as the thunder of hooves grew steadily louder.
The vast Mongol host thundered past Havokand, east past Marghinan and Andijan and Osh, and onwards up the valley, where Anbal's army was camped. Hearing this news, Akhsar's army to the north broke its own camp and wheeled south, crossing the river in pursuit of the innumerable horsemen racing towards his son.The horde under the command of one Mongatu Naimanid, a commander known for his horsemanship and speed, met Anbal of house Os's army one dry, dusty afternoon in the high summer heat of August, somewhere around halfway between Osh and Uzgend, near the valley south that led up to the Erkech-Tam Pass into the Tarim. The battle was hard for the young commander, with Mongatu's horsemen circling the Alan infantry and peppering them with arrows, while the the cavalry attempted to give chase and inflict what damage they could.Relief came hours later, as Akhsar's 21,000 cavalry force arrived and attacked the unsuspecting Mongols from the rear. Caught completely off guard, the Mongols attempted to recover but, stuck between two armies and completely outnumbered, they soon reached breaking point. It was at this point that a second Mongol force - which had been in the rear, harrying the local population - arrived on the field. The faltering Mongols, invigorated at this sight, seized the initiative in the ensuing confusion, and Akhsar's cavalry was soon encircled and casualties began to mount. Anbal's infantry broke first, fleeing at the sight of the brutality. The two remaining forces continued their dance, until the Alans realised they were now outnumbered and outmanoeuvred. Exploiting a gap in the Mongol army, the Alans desperately broke through the encirclement and fled up the valley, fighting a valiant rearguard action all the way to the high pass.
Akhsar continued the retreat to the city of Kæshgar to prepare to mount a new defence. But, with so many of the skilled cavalrymen required to combat this foe dead or wounded, and with news of the atrocities being inflicted upon those who resisted reaching the capital in various waves over the years, Akhsar reluctantly sued for peace. The title of Khshaya was forfeit and his vassals were surrendered to the Khagan.
blah blah blah blah blah blah
I tried to do an Alan Nestorian Silk Road game once. Probably the most realistic scenario for a "white" "Christian" Kingdom popping up in the Tarim Basin region.
I noticed Warhammer won multiple times. Probably the most realistic thing to keep happening repeatedly.
