Tob was slated to be in 3am on it's debut. She was already signed to the bad agency and they weren't exclusive but they told her rumours about the other girls. Tob apparently also going through a hard time IRL unrelated to vtubing but didn't say it publicly. So she backed out.
When Coqui went public with the story she showed DMs with tob to prove she was part of 3am to illustrate that this guy was fucking with them. Allegedly some fans treated Tob like a villain over this but I've never seen it firsthand. I think most people understand they all got manipulated by a bastard businesses man. But since the words came from Coqui's mouth most people see it as an attack against Tob even if it was "justified".
However all the girls feel about this in private is entirely up for speculation, since they never speak on the matter.

It was a weird time. Seth was head of one of the largest vtuber/talent agencies but was a massive narcissist and scammer and manipulated his smaller talents under him for shits and giggles. Two talents under him in particular had a falling out with Meat and Coqui so Seth used it as an opportunity to isolate Southside as a whole for fun and started spreading rumors causing Southside talents to get blacklisted from a lot of places. As Seth was spreading shit Tobs bought into it, gave the pre-3AM team a message saying she was pulling out and then afterwards gave the girls the silent treatment which hurt Coqui a lot in particular.

It snowballed into some major drama that played out through /vt/, twitter, and a few streams over the course of 2023 to early 2025. In the end it turned out Seth's agency didn't legally even exist and that he mismanaged a lot of stuff due to incompetence and some narcissistic malice. Probably one of the more wild indie vtuber sagas to happen.

I'm honestly unsure if Cover realizes how lucky they are to have hired Subaru. She's the one who cuts through the veil with everyone. She picks up all the introverted and timid people and brings them into the fold. She's also friends with everyone so she can connect kouhais to the senpai they admire to form friendships. These things add up and enrich the talents' drive to do bigger and better. And none of this feels forced or weird on her side, she genuinely enjoys hanging out and getting to know people in the company. She also put effort into learning English just to connect better with fans and talents. It's insane what a godly pull they did with her.
