Fun Crocodile Fact #3: People often confuse crocodiles and alligators for one or the other. But there are key differences to tell them apart. The most common way is through their snouts, as crocs have long and pointed V-shaped snouts, while gators have rounded U-shaped snouts. The others include the crocs teeth still being visible when the mouth is closed while gators' teeth aren't. Crocs generally being much bigger in length and weight. And finally, crocs tails are longer while gator tails are more muscular.
