I love Rissa

Today's stream kinda solidified that she really just overthinks whether people will enjoy things she enjoys and about how even though she really likes the arts in general, poetry, opera, she does have a severe learning disability if she is that adamant about enjoying listening rather than reading.

I've heard about severe dyslexia, but this pretty much nails it why she goes in these particular directions, enough that even her favorite media she'll always take an audiobook or a long-form video over something written. Or wanting voice acting over not. I see this more often these days, particularly since I like rpgs, seeing more people who say they want voice acting as a standard.

I used to think its just kids don't want to read, but seeing Rissa really hammers home that they might just really struggle to get through even a really good rpg. I'm a hopeless reader, I've pretty much nearly taught myself to read since I was 3 years old and read even in the dark till my eyes got tired. I don't mind the overly wordy stuff Nasu makes or Ryukishi, I read absolutely every piece of lore media I can get my hands, on so I never understood people who could be so passionate, but hate reading so much. But this explains her barrier to learning. I do hope RPG devs pick up on these things that can maybe get more people seriously into those games. I always said a couch co-op buddy would have her enjoy games more, and I really think I'm right.
