So... I just bought the last of her album (type A) still on sale (new) on amazon.jp.
After the official shop went out of them both on monday, I had to look elsewhere ; and it's in fact much cheaper. There's still the type B available if you want one.

1. She's basically bet it all with Amane Kanata and basically has no interest in streaming and sharing music with the internet outside of that. This would be the most literal interpretation but also to me doesn't quite fit with how she seems to feel. You could also interpret this as her being so hurt by the ordeal that right now staying in the industry is a bit traumatizing, so she's leaving it. That could also be something she can come back from once she's rested
2. She's really idol fagging things. She has an ideal image of what idol "Amane Kanata" is and wants to present it as such. She has a very "traditional" view of idols, so it's in line with that to "disappear" from the public eye after grad. For this, there's actually a ray of hope in that you could interpret it as her saying it's ok to end your support with Kanata and not need to follow her anywhere else (i.e. not searching for her)

A combination of these two is how I'm interpreting it. I still hold a lot of hope though. Even if she wants to romantize things this way, those rose tinted glasses will feel very different after a year of lonely wage-slaving. And I believe deep down the first factor is much stronger.

My headcanon is that Cover told her to clearly state she's not going to reincarnate and had her sign a non-compete to that effect. All the recent graduations and successful reincarnations has Cover management scared, they know their company's value is tied up in its IP and talent and they've also demonstrated that they have no way to stop talents from walking away and taking their fans with them. If they're actually making talents sign non-competes that preclude indie vtubing as a prerequisite for an "amicable" graduation then we're well into black company-tier so I hope this is wrong.

I've been thinking about this too, like her mindset and stuff. That possibility is disturbing, but I don't think it's very likely. Kanata has said a few times before that she would probably find a normal job if she ever graduated, so it's only natural that if she kept the graduation a secret from everybody who actually cared about her and had no opportunity to talk about it with anybody else, that's where her mind would be. Which is almost just as bleak, but at least it's something that can be changed.

I agree. I know how she feels because I'm the same, I was never good with huge group situations and the only way to get a bit of discussion going on was to make myself the center of the joke and fueling on it. It went on for over 4 years for her though (since she didn't stream much this year) and while she laughs about it I'm sure she feels contradicted inside. I really wish more members would've told her publicly that they really appreciated her as a person like Korone used to do.

I said it a few threads ago, but taso's "daijoubu" is the one thing you can never trust about her. It's always been hard to make her care enough about her own well being. Whenever heimin tried to show concern, she'd always deflect or say that she's more worried about us instead, but every now and then she'd let that kind of thing slip, like an unintentional cry for help. This year she started being much more open about how she was having a hard time and it really worried me, because of how uncharacteristic it was. She'd usually make it a policy never to say things are hard (this is something she explicitly said several times, that she never wanted to use words like しんどい). I just never knew her starting to complain more was a sign that she had really hit her limit.

This. I also got more concerned about her health (than usual) around last year too. She started citing memory problems around the chain game times, and that got more and more frequent with time. Felt like a cry for help to me because she'd bring it up in so many collabs talking about it being to the point she may go to the hospital for. And then the forgetting to eat, not having an appetite and major weight loss to the point of being called gaunt thing was really telling as well.
I think she hit a wall during these times health-wise and that only made the workload problems worse

One thing that I worry about is how little she seems to actually care about herself and take care of herself. It's one reason I hope she keeps on streaming even outside holo. She seems to be a purpose driven person and having a lot of fans I think gives her a drive to keep things health-wise in check more than normal for her

I did too. Just having a person letting her know that she suddenly started snoring worse, for example, is a huge impact on self care.
She also jives well with proactive people and opens up better with them. You wouldn't see her dragged on so many vacations nowadays but back then it wasn't uncommon to do so with Coco. It's probably still her low self esteem problems. In the past when asked about her relation with AZKi, she'd say that she talks to her the most, but AZKi is the type to get along with many people so it's probably not the same the other way around. But then with this grad, you can tell AZKi very much considers Taso as one of her closest friends in holo.
Lamy is interesting in that in one radio Taso described Lamy to be close to the top closest for her, but Lamy kind of denied that saying there's more room to go for her.
In both cases, I think positive affirmations would have suited Taso the best. It's also the reason why I think this period with all these positive interactions may help her mentally a lot

I honestly believe the best for her going forward would be to move in with Kson again.
The year and a half where they lived together was great, I remember she talked about Coco making her to eat better, try meat once in a while and actually take care of herself.
When they’d talk about how comfortable they felt with one another it made me feel like I could trust Coco would take care of her if anything happened.
I think if someone can convince her of streaming again, or at least having an online presence again it’s definitely Kson.
She would probably also help her keep contact with other Holos and maybe go out with them once in a while.

If Kanata ends up moving somewhere else I fear she will fully isolate herself from all of her friends and go on a downwards spiral of being depressed while doing crappy part time jobs and not taking care of herself much anymore.
