Kinda the collab part but also I do think that one of the benefits of being corpo, even if it's ultimately a decision that you don't necessarily feel was right, is that you're kinda taught a sort of professionalism that you don't really get elsewhere. Honestly if management had done as much shit for the livers as they have done this year throughout 22/23 instead of just leaving it to rot I doubt the branch would be in the state it is now and so many people would have graduated. Multiple concerts, doing big event streams again, 3d debuts constantly.

Mysta and Nina both wanted to work less, with Nina's wanting to hire people to do stuff she didn't want to do getting turned down. I can't imagine them doing big events with lots of practice.

I also can't see Kyo wanting to do the stuff they would want him to with the 3D. He just seemed like he shot himself in the foot by leaving.

You'd think that kind of thing would keep Pomu, but watching her lately makes it hard to figure out what she still wants out of vtubing. It's just not going to be on the same scale in any other indie vtubing event, and keeping that convention schedule is going to make it hard to get anything done. Looking at what she's doing now, I can't imagine having a working 3D model in Niji would have actually made a difference in her leaving or staying.

I think it was more management's insistence to have a paid AR Live concert before the 3D debuts of the other waves. Can't think of any other reason for them to have delayed Obsydia's 3D for over a year. Like, after they planned Lazu's 3D, they should have started planning Obsydia's. That way, they could put in the 3D studio reservation in for Obsydia for like 2 months after Lazu. But they didn't, and instead they did... nothing. For the 9 months after Lazu's 3D, they did nothing. Don't forget, this was hot on the heels of AR Live 1.0 being cancelled. Fans and livers both were feeling down and disappointed, and management did... nothing to improve things. No management-organized tournaments, no special programs on the NijiEN channel, no cringekino reboot of NijiScenario, not even Puchisanji EN.
But yeah, 2023 was the main year that management failed the livers and fans, and it took their top female talents leaving and the CEO himself having to come out and bowing down to foreign fans in order for management to wake the fuck up.

I think you're missing the bigger picture. Imagine two scenarios. You're workplace has lots of happy stuff happening all the time and people growing and making progress, but there's a thing or two about it that annoys you, probably not going to leave most jobs aren't perfect. The other scenario the place you work is so miserable after being so poorly supported by management and a series of public failures that you feel the need to make songs to lift everyone spirits and there are a number of things that annoy you, why the fuck are you even here?

Right now, she's mainly focusing on doing all these convention appearances that Niji would not allow her to do. Once the summer convention season winds down (September), she'll start focusing on the next things she wants to do.

The 3D model fuckery killed off some of her project plans, including her invite to be in Kiara's birthday 3D. It was probably extra infuriating for her since there was nothing stopping them from just allowing her to use her existing 3D model, but they didn't for whatever reason. Maybe they were ashamed of their work on it? Maybe they shouldn't have done a shit job to begin with lol.

Pomu wanted to be able to give her fans merch that wasn't just acrylics. To have a say in it and stuff like that. She wanted to be able to perform live in front of people in 3D, she wanted to be able to accept offers that were directly given to her.
She was also constantly exhausted with the new waves and management giving all of their attention to luxiem while having to walk on eggshells not to piss off a fanbase that were responsible for making a massive document regarding all of the "evil" shit one of her friends had done and doxing other members too. She was having to constantly fight for lazulight to get stuff like another song and even then they weren't allowed to choose the producer of it and it was nearly impossible to perform live.

She was tired of having 0 say in her life. Can't go to conventions that wanted her. Can't meet up with idols that wanted her. Can't have a gun with her outfit. Can't have a say in even the hairstyle for her second outfit. Can't get 3D.

It was genuinely frustrating as hell to be her. Shit even her Minecraft projects got nuked and she had to take responsibility for someone else's actions because they were too much of a man child to publicly apologize and his fanbase would have harassed her if she had spoke up about it.

The Selen thing is the management’s wake up call. Now they have amazing merch like scale figures and other stuff (Just look at how great obsydia merch is). They are also giving them a lot of 3D concerts and appearances to real concerts now. If anything it’s thanks to her that they are being treated well these days.

It's not really, all the stuff that has happened in the current year was already in planning last year and would have happened either way. The AR Live would have happened Selen seems to have even recorded for it considering Rosemi and Petra stuff was largely cut out. Obsydia 3D was already happening they start planning for that shit like half a year or more in advance as lazulight have said when they were talking about their stuff. The figures for NijiEN got revealed at nijifes before anything went wrong there.

Not really going to get too much disagreement from me there all of this stuff should have been sooner but it seems to me like they already got their shit together before shit hit the fan. Just a little too late for it to make any meaningful difference. If this shit started happening in the middle of last year instead of something things might have been different.
