You forgot the most important part: Relationships.
Hololive virtually has no visible infighting.

Everyone is on good terms with each other (on surface), which is part of the deal, because the best moments in Hololive happen in collabs.

It's always funny when other vtubers find out that hololive have all girls highschool environment.
Like when, uimama got flabbergasted by the fact that luna and lamy are hugging and holding each other hand in their first time meeting eah other.

>>
How did hololive manage to foster and environment where everyone is friendly with eachother. All the other corpos have weekly yabs related to people being petty or downright evil
>>
>>83849928
>Respect idol culture
Hololive earns a lot of money from making vtubers who imitate Japanese idols but at least half of them don't like idol culture. Even on the JP side the complaints are becoming more noticeable. Aqua isn't having a graduation tomorrow because she liked the direction of the company.
>>
>>83851396
>Aqua
Gomenne, senpai.
>>
>>83849928
#2 and #3 are so straightforward that any company should be able to, but can you elaborate on
>1. Respect idol culture
and how?
>>
>>83851782
>and how?
Geez, i don't know.
Maybe don't start vtubing with "idol culture is le bad" in your head.

No, the question is what TO do, not what NOT to do.

Explain mori, ame, kronii, ollie and erb then.
>>
>>83849928
>Respect idol culture
spoken like someone who has no idea of idols.
>>

He's literally not given anything, apparently idol culture is just an axiom that you can't actually follow, you just have to not UNFOLLOW it.

Well, her time will come, she can choose to be depressed, feminized or graduate.

And knowing this, you people still refuse to respect idol culture.

>>
>>83852151
Really stupid examples because Mori, Ame and Kronii came crawling back to the fans who actually watch streams and donate. Meanwhile Ollie is LITERALLY the worst performing Holo right now.

they covered up (lel) rushia marriage while they allowed her to sell engagement ring to her fans.
>>
>>83851396
You know Aqua already said specifically that she loves doing idol works and she isn't graduating because of that, right?
>>
>>83852331
Exactly we need things we can pick apart unfairly because whatever this idol culture thing is, if it even exists at all (lol, doubt), it clearly is a bad thing so it needs to be laughed at until they shut up. even if the laughter has to be really forced
>>83852535
EXACTLY BRO THEY ALWAYS JUST CRACK from such a simple question
>>
>>83851982
e.g. Phase Connect. they built up a fanbase of people who think they're too cool for that "gay idolshit." now they're stuck as streamers and any attempt to move away from that will have similar results to their recent concert
>>
>>83852678
Anon, they terminated rushia last year.....

>>
>>83852088
NTA, but it's simple
>Don't be too vulgar (some tasteful innuendos here and there are fine)
>Don't be political. Leave all those alphabet or activist craps IRL
>In general, avoid drama as much as you can
>Keep in mind that you are selling an image / a dream. Try to remain bright and cheerful as much as you can on top of your usual images, be it cool, cute, tsun or whatever (some moments of vulnerability will be fine or even great, just don't be a downer 24/7 on stream). Stop trying to "be real" if your real self isn't likeable
>Be nice
>Don't collab with males (or females if you are a guy) unless you can convince your fans that it's all professional activities
oh, I forgot
>Don't complain about "le idol culture"
That might not be the full list but that'd be a good start
>>
>>83853468
>Try to remain bright and cheerful as much as you can on top of your usual images, be it cool, cute, tsun or whatever (some moments of vulnerability will be fine or even great, just don't be a downer 24/7 on stream).
True, though none of the rest of these have anything to do with the idol concept, they're just general entertainer rules.
>>
>>83853468 (Me)
Oh, and before anons point out that there are JAV idol groups and nu-idol groups can be way more varied, those are basic traditional values for more "traditional" groups (MM, 48s). Stick to the well tried method or be adventurous at your own risk.
>>
>>83853602
>they're just general entertainer rules.
And somehow, someway, hololive is the only corpo that do that.
>>
>>83852088
You could start reading on what is idol culture to begin with.
It's like asking on a to-do list on how to respect X culture. It's not like there is a checklist that will make you 100% respectful.

I could point out to a book written by an ex-AKB48 member on it. And some others written through foreigners and natives, but I don't think that would be helpful.
Let's start with this. I imagine you do have a culture, either through your ethnicity, or through your country of origin. How one would start about respecting that culture?
>>
>>83854489
You know, i still can't accept that hololive became famous during pandemic because of korone = corona.
That's not how algorithm works.
>>
>>83850141
Tsunderia...
>>
>>83854667
that's how it works
gura became famous because of the baby shark song

niggers LITERALLY just go and lie to push an agenda and hope no one will check
>>
>>83853468
I wouldn't really call this "respecting Idol Culture", it's more in line with respecting your viewer. Nonetheless, I agree with everything you said, expanding it with what >>83850190 mentioned.

You could find individual streamers as entertaining as any of the Holos, but you can't replicate the vibe their interactions provide. The true appeal of Hololive is the dynamic between the members, but that dynamic, besides their genuine talent as entertainers, has been fostered by the points you mentioned. They did experiment a lot at the beginning, which is why Nijisanji was bigger back then, but then they found the perfect balance and ever since then they're by far the best to watch. There are some issues, sure, there always are, but as long as they remain generally drama free, there's nothing to doompost about.
And I'm saying this as someone who follows a lot of indies and is generally up to date with the Japanese small corpo scene. There are quite a few small corpo with way more idol-like behavior, but in the case of Hololive it's not their identity as a whole, only a part of it, which makes this sorta distorted version of idol culture appealing to nearly everyone.
>>
>>83853157
That's what IM saying bro, they never explain themselves, they need to give us clear lines for us to point out how theyre being hypocrites and contradicting themselves
>>
>>83855175
Your eyes might have glanced over the words, but your brain did not process anything past the first handful of words.
>>
>>83852855
Aqua liked singing and dancing but there is something that she disliked enough to leave Hololive. Cover does make a lot of their money with the idol style GFE and they were selling bride merch with Rushia.
>>
>>83850585
Le evil idol culture and twisted pr strategies
