You can always do that if the frontend is separate from the actual AI, so if for some reason Claude completely vanished tomorrow people would just move on to something else with the same characters, chats, and everything else.If the CAI servers go down, all of the users' shit also goes poof. And even ignoring that, the last time I took a look at CAI the frontend was still pretty much the same, light years behind ST in terms of functionality and customisation.The coom-doom cycle exists because people got used to the best of the best and some would rather use Claude when it's available than even give other models a try.
Personally, I still enjoy using CAI.
