Once upon a time, I loved Ame. I was there from the beginning for her, right from debut. The scuff and the oddness of it didn't turn me away, it just amused me. I stuck around until mid 2022. However, at that point, Ame and Gura, the two I truly cared about, lost the spark. There was a shift in Hololive around that time, and it felt like they simply stopped caring to the same degree. Those two years I spent with them, and Ina too honestly, were very dear to me. I still remember a great deal about Ame and what it felt like to watch her at the peak. Those days are past, however, and I don't believe I'm actually sad about her finally becoming free from the different beast that Hololive became. I'm actually happy for her. I think the freedom is what she needs, and I also think that once all is said and done, I'll be happy to have another, very familiar indie to watch. Thank you for reading my blog. Phase Connect.

My only worry is that these graduations-but-not don't give the autistic rabbit any dumb ideas. I actually prefer genuine graduations and termination of the character if you will, this new approach by Cover feels too cynical and profit driven. Too corporate, almost Disney like. This is one of the reasons why I gradually shifted away from Hololive into the small corpo scene, Gura effectively leaving was just fortunate in the sense that I shifted into Pippa (heh) and they overlapped. God Pippa used to be so good. She needs to utilize games like Class of 09, something with a narrative and drama that appeals to the female instincts - those kinds of games where she INTERACTS with the game/content and REACTS to that draw out her true ability. Merely reacting to stuff doesn't have the same appeal because it doesn't elicit the same emotional reactions since the investment is lesser and she's merely a passive observer. I'm too sleepy to elaborate. Also I still feel bad for Chonkers, she could've been much bigger if she stayed and made some sort of deal. Phase started to grow rapidly just as she left us. That's a true missed opportunity and while I wish her luck it just isn't the same. Also too many males.

It's perfectly fine and natural to sell merch, have concerts, songs, lives etc. but unless this is backed by the foundation of streaming on the regular vtubing loses its main appeal and its main foundation. It really is that simple and I legit do not understand what drives people to purchase merch of de facto graduated vtubers or those who like Gura are in this half-present state. Of course this doesn't apply if there was an actual health issue or some sort of tragedy or life occurence that prevents the streamer from streaming, be it something as simple as school or genuine personal catastrophes since these are transient states and if the streamer explicitly says she's stream in the future once they're settled it's perfectly fine to continue supporting them via merch purchases etc. But someone like Gura or now Ame will never be back, thus it defeats the purpose in my opinion. It loops back into my opinion that it's really cynical. I don't dislike either of the two mind you. Nobody, absolutely nobody ever reached or was able to touch Gura when she was in her prime. She truly was the best of the best and in a league of her own. The perfect vtuber, a superbly developed personality. Her internal mechanisms and arrangements were beyond impressive, she was the first true "Other" in my experience. A full person, perfectly herself.
