>>86633635any version of RE1 is good imho. it's the director's cut dual shock version that catches a lot of flack for its updated OST, but it has some really stellar tunes (in fact i would say some are better than the original). where it incontestably shits the bed the saveroom theme. the first was beautifully creepy and perfectly sets the tone for the safe rooms, and then the dualshock version has a shitty music box tune. a lot of people give the basement track shit, and yeah it's pretty bad, but i would argue it fits the bizarre feel of the mansion and game, sort of like the weird voice acting, and brightly lit vibrant, colorful rooms
