Wow. So, I've started streaming this week and I noticed that I sound like I'm always disinterested in what I'm doing. The truth is that I'm just relaxed. I'm glad to see that I never lack something to say, but I have to change completely the way I speak / do commenting otherwise I will come across as incredibly boring. How tf do pro VTubers always manage to sound so high energy? It's kind of amazing. No clue how I'll manage to adapt but I'll try my best.

There's clearly something else going on that's stunting that view. Even early replies under tweets that go on to hit 50-100k impressions will, after a few days, maybe hit 500impressions. Twitter is a rough place to get anywhere without some sort of backing momentum.

Indies don't do debut streams as their first streams because no one cares that some random joe like madoka magica and has a model that jiggles when it moves. You should just start streaming and go with it. If you've never streamed before, there's some experience to gain early on that'll help you be better prepared for when you eventually do an actual debut with a new model or something. First impressions are important and you're going to improve a lot pretty fast in the first couple months, so it's beneficial to build up viewers over that time rather than being thrown dozens of them the first time with no experience. Being a regular in other streamers chats is good too, as long as you are there because you like watching them and aren't begging them to check you out or anything it's generally not seen as bad. Being a good chatter/community member will let people know they can trust you. Streamers (esp bigger streamers) can get a pretty good read on whether or not someone is grifting, and if you aren't, they will know, and might be interested in checking you out.

It’s not that you have to have some wild gimmick or do something unique. Gaming content works, it’s why so many people do it.
