hey /#/ what do you think of this comment talking about vtubers?>This is FrFr why I can't get into VTuber shit. I think it's conceptually cool and the clips are funny but the fandom around it is soooo creepy. Sexual to the point of harassment, which is especially bad because not all debuting VTubers are adults. Some VTubers from mainstream companies like Hololive and Nijisanji debuted as minors (an example from Hololive being Fubuki although she's an adult now). Employing minors is a discontinued practice of both agencies but you still see it from time to time in smaller organizations. Also the minors (although they are adults now) employed by the companies still work at nijisanji and Hololive TO THIS DAY. Despite how openly horny and creepy the fandom is. Meaning the companies knew it wasn't a safe environment for minors, which is why they stopped hiring them, but were unwilling to let go of the minors they already had!

Some are etching strong communities without immediately trying to find a way to check themselves out at any opportunity after they get enough sponsorships and subs, but that mindset is still prevalent.
