I think the fact that she's still clinging on in Niji instead of graduating and going independent is because she can't throw the company under the bus to salvage her reputation.

If Niji forced her to do the black stream, she can just reveal that and everything would be relatively fine, but if she was the one pushing for it or active part of the mean girl clique, then her options are way more limited.
