As a male viewer, it's less about GFE roleplaying, and more just wanting to hear female voices on stream. Does that make sense? Like if I'm watching a youtube video essay, I'm more inclined to stick around when I hear a female voice. Not that I avoid male voices entirely, I'm just more picky as to the kind of male voice I'm interested in hearing ramble on for hours on end, and on what subject matter. I think it general, it's not that I don't like men and women interacting for my entertainment, it's just that I have higher standards for my entertainment when it's mixed gender interactions. Most vtubers and streamers in general are terrible actors and generally socially inept. If they don't vibe in a way I like, I'm simply going to switch to another channel as my entertainment choice for the night.
