They know what your intentions are. If all you're interested in is the size of their audience and what that size can do for your potential audience of course they're going to know your goal is to be a leech and shun you. As they should. If you're going to approach other and larger creators you have to actually be genuine and want to actually make something mutually valuable. They don't owe you anything and if you're not offering anything in return there's little value in it for them outside of doing saviorfag charity work. That's not to say that creator relationships are fully or all transactional, but they can see your intent a mile away. Larger creators are, to some extent, professional in their relationships so they will expect the same from you. 1) who are you approaching? 2) what similarity or relationship is there between the two of you and/or what content each of you makes?3) why are you approaching them speficially?4) what specifically are you approaching them to do? "collab" is not specific.5) what are you bringing to the potential collab?6) what are you expecting the other person to bring to the collab?

If you want to befriend a much larger creator, you need to offer up something that they wouldn’t get from other larger vtubers. This can be literally anything. Are you exceptionally good at talking? Are you highly skilled at a competitive shooter? Do you have a really good vtuber model? For me it’s my model. I have a femboy model, a fairly well made one at that. I’ve approached much larger vtubers with femboy models and they’ve pretty much immediately taken a liking to me. They know collabing with me would be good content because their faggot viewers would start shipping us together and things like that.
