Let’s take a look at how they did.But as a general reminder since I saw my Anycolor Analysis spread beyond this site, DO NOT take my thoughts/observations as gospel or advice. I encourage you to read the materials yourself, or listen to someone with actual qualifications and then make your own conclusions/thoughts. With that being said….FINANCIAL RESULTSCover has exceeded their revenue forecasts for the first half, beating their revised one by roughly 3-4%, and their initial one by 18.6%. Revenue is overall up by nearly 50% from last year’s Q2, with Merchandising being the main driving factor as it is up by nearly 80% in due part thanks to the TCG. Streaming and Licensing/Collaboration are also up, 21% and 90% respectively (but pale in comparison to Merchandise). With Concerts/Events down by 11% due to a smaller number of concerts compared to last year. Forecasts for profits have also been met, with almost a 45% increase to their net profit compared to last year.COSTS AND PROFITS.Costs compared to last year, saw a roughly 1.1 billion increase, particularly in part due to merchandise and talent remuneration. Speaking of talent remuneration, Cover has paid their talents so far this year roughly 2.5 Billion yen, or 16 Million USD. The SG&A is also down despite the increase in expenses. In percentages of revenue, Merchandise is the outright majority with 51.5% of all revenue. With their over avenues: Streaming, Licensing, and Concerts, being 24.7%, 15.1%, and 8.7% respectively.PROGRESS OF MEDIUM-LONG TERM BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTAccording to Cover, 55% of all users who have memberships have them for two channels or more during September 2024. Do keep in mind however, this also counts gifted memberships. Hololive’s TCG will release their 2nd booster pack on the 20th of December. Cover plans to consolidate their multiple warehouses into just one location. Cover also saw a 450 million yen loss from indirect taxes for foreign taxes, and is expected to be a one time occurrence. Cover has increased their employee count to 602, compared to 570 from last quarter.OVERALLThis quarter has been a massive success for them, even with the departure of Aqua and Amelia. The TCG has been a roaring success, and their newest waves are seeing major developments (Particularly ReGloss, as well as EN3 and 4.) And considering that Cover’s fiscal years typically see more revenue at the latter half (albeit Q2 did edge over Q3 last year), the future is looking quite promising if this is how their first half of the fiscal year went.

They are still well behind their actual highs from last winter, but regardless this is still a notable milestone for them.ANYCOLOR SLIDESAnycolor barely poked their head above the clouds today as they came tumbling back down to earth as they close out at 2234 yen (-16) for the day. Performance wise they stayed barely below with some peaks in the green before lunch, collapsing immediately after the break before a rally in the last hour to put them back where they were. They now see only a 49 yen rise for the week.At the very least for Anycolor, they should in theory have a cushion and upward trend thanks to the success of Cover's Q2. Although, their Q2 report is up to bad next month.
