A mouse is vastly superior when you absolutely need accuracy and precision, which basically means FPS games. And I know that you are an FPS kid (who did not grow up with console games) so you have a gigantic bias. And of course you need a kb when you play a high APM games like RTS games.But a controller DOES have it's use, and many speedrun WRs in multiple games are done with a controller. And dunno, I use both the mouse+kb combo or my controller depending on the game.

>>89400694>>89400865There's also the matter of turning quickly+precisely. I feel like it's much easier to flick with a mouse because a pad has a much narrower range between min and max turn rate. It helps a lot with melee games where enemies tend to jump/charge past you while attacking, it lets you ignore lock-on too. There's a couple enemies I can think of that do this "jump and break lockon" thing in fromsoft souls games too.
