I started watching Rissa on last year's Halloween stream and I remember membering around her birthday stream. Back then she was very fresh and eager to try new things, very enthusiastic about streaming and playing games, handcams and everything. Frantically that made me fall in love with her, as everything felt so fresh and the vibes were nice. Slowly she started losing her way a bit, her type of content changing and morphing into some good things and some bad. It felt like we'd go into cycles of doom every month, but then she'd do something great that gives me hope. As I was getting ready to be frustrated for the next cycle I came to the realization that this hasn't been a cycle for a while, but rather Nerissa has seem to found the type of content she wants to do moving forward and the type of streamer she wants to be. Totally valid and I'm glad for her to be honest. However it's not the type of content that interests me enough to watch streams anymore. I no longer have the motivation to watch streams instead of playing games, let alone stay up late for every stream like I used to. And it feels like she's been growing more apathetic about her viewers by the day, more distant in a way, almost feels like she's become a husk of the Rissa I fell in love with. Lately she's been surrounding herself by the worst of twitter and forcefully feeding shipfags of all kinds, becoming more of a twitter persona than a streamer and it's very repulsive to watch. I've tried watching other vtubers and found some with the type of content I wish Rissa would do, but they didn't give me the same feelings I had when I first started watching Rissa, she was just so special. I don't think I have it in me anymore to continue forcing myself to watch streams, things look like they'll remain stale and stagnant the way they are as she's happy where she is. And what's sad is that it feels very easy to move on now, I've been completely drained out of interest. If anything I'm more parasocial about the thread here so I don't see myself leaving anytime soon, but outside of special streams like karaokes and big events I can't see myself being a jailbird anymore

Wont lie but i think this is the general consensus. The fact that everybody just starts posting in her live tag nowadays to ask for her attention is very... appalling and she even give those who ask her for it the attention they want. I would say your problem is just the natural course of any longer viewer for any vtuber, at debut everything is gold and shine but at times passes she find a comfort content, honeymoon phase is gone. I would suggest the best thing you can do is take a break and not necessary to watch every stream, specially those you don't like, and when she does something of your taste you should cherish her for more content of that in the comments or her livetag.

Can't really say the same. If anything, she has been more open to us lately. The being friendly with people on Twitter thing we saw heavily on debut, heavily after debut, and so heavily now. I dont deny that but there used to be more Adventmem-Nerissa one-on-one collabs (last 12th May (Shiori)) and more Kiara-Nerissa one-on-one collabs (last 11th April(Holoxbreak)). Phew, I'm finally awake.
Anyway, I just wanna throw my two cents in about what you talked about.
In her regards to her Twitter "buddies", I hate how they become uppity because of the attention they've been given by her. Like Ceej trying to become the spokesperson of the Jailbirds, or Nick G with his shitty memes crossing into dox territory. Whether it's because Rissa likes the attention they give her, or because she's too nice to say anything about it is a different matter. But she does need to do something about it.
As for the whole connection between her and us...it is kinda weird.
Like, she's been open with us about several things, to the point she's cried in front of us. But then it's also painfully obvious when she just wants to end streams, not to mention the lack of content with her membership.
Who knows how much is being worked on behind the scenes, but that's why she needs to get better in regards to her streams. To keep us engaged until things are done and we all get excited for the new songs she releases.
With the way she's been handling streams, people are just going to get bored and leave (like it's been happening as of late), which in turn will affect the views in her new songs since nobody will give a shit about it.
With all that said, I'm sorry for going "mucho texto", but it is something I've been wanting to say for a while now.

I think advent is going through the promise phase they are becoming jaded, shiori and fuwamoco use to try a lot of things too back then. If you think about It's easier to just spam collabs and play popular games like biboo does because it get you numbers instead of making a creative stream where you're unsure wheather people would like it or not.

Don’t think it’s fair to just say Biboo just spams popular games for numbers. She pretty much streams 40 hour weeks when she’s on it, if not more, and she said she only plays things she wants to, not what people ask her to or is popular. Sure, she doesn’t do much personal interaction in membership stuff, but she’s a consistent and entertaining streamer, finishes the stuff she starts, and is good at games, and I think that’s what pebbles expect and want, she’s a hard worker and builds her fanbase like that. They’re different kinds of streamers but both work hard. I share some of your sentiment. My interest has waned this past month. Something I've noticed is that she doesn't talk about herself as much as she used to. I feel that's been a major change since she came back from Japan. A lot of us view her as someone we'd love to date and/or get to know better as a friend. At least that's how I feel. So, having her withdraw into her comfort games and only talk about the same mundane things begins to feel less personal. I know being parasocial isn't good for you, but that was ultimately part of her appeal for many, myself included. She still engages with people on Twitter, but it's largely the same individuals and mostly simple fanservice at that. I think both comments are being disingenuous because she does have talent and she -by most accounts- is not actually a failure. What she loves and admires has now become her job, which has the strong possibility of making her grow to hate it because the reality may not have been what she was expecting. Or it may have been exactly as she expected and she's trying to still figure out what works best for her. Some people take longer to have that epiphany and asking for advice doesn't always solve the problem. Let's not forget that she is her own biggest critic and fan behavior reinforces the negative/pessimistic outlook she already has towards herself and her own abilities. People have pushed her back into a corner with complaints so she latches onto whatever the most vocal people/shippers say and it's easier to make the select few happy than it is to appease the thousands of roaring idiots that all tell her different things. I'm not in complete disagreement but let's at least try to give her the benefit of the doubt for a while longer.

Another thing to pile on from the discussion earlier.
One thing early on that she put a bit of emphasis on was that she liked to cook, so maybe this is on me, but I kind of expected her to do cooking streams at some point.
Yes, yes, I know she's living at her parents so it's basically impossible, but at the time, we didn't know how long the laundry list of mental issues she has was and that moving out was highly unlikely.
The potential was so high. A Holo that has some legitimate cooking knowledge and would hopefully apply that on stream, has a great voice, and was a great yapper? That's a great content repertoire. It's a damn shame.

I posted about this fashion label a while ago and they are currently having a 50% off sale sitewide. I dont know if youre interested in that label but I thought you would like to know. At the very least I thought you would be interested in the nightgowns. And since its a french fashion label their stuff is influenced by french fashion which was the trend during regency era england so some of the dresses are low key regency esque like the The Baroness Dress pic related. I think people psych themselves out a little too much on how things look like these days and not really the truth. I mean, Biboo and FWMC get touted as the strongest part of Advent and Shiori and Nerissa as mediocre, but their music in comparison to Rissa would comparatively be not good even though some would talk about Espresso now. Does that mean that nobody likes them? No.

Then you see how much people genuinely enjoy Rissa, her subs still go up even with no shorts stream for months now and while some may not like a couple of Twitter personalities, people like her and want her attention very much, running constant parody works and their own covers of songs. Shiori has a solid fanbase too. All that to say is maybe its best we don't psych ourselves out for every little thing.
