>>89791066Well for one, there is just so much more content for it. There's a fuck ton of secrets, unlockables, and things you can do. A lot of it reminds me of the "good old days" of videogames. Also Vampire Survivors was the one that first kicked off this craze of Vampire Survivors clones and it's still the best at providing the dopamine rush such games offer. I also like the progression and mechanics better. I like that each Holo has their own mechanics, but it's hard to tweak all of them and some of them are straight better than others, some are awful, and many are too similar. VS just has unique weapons. Lastly I feel VS just does the feeling of overwhelming odds better. Obviously the sprites are better and more detailed in Holocure but that also means there can be fewer of them onscreen at once. They try to cover for this with the bosses which are definitely done better in Holocure than VS but sometimes I want to mow down thousands of enemies at once. It's like the difference between fighting a bunch of enemies in say Bayonetta vs Dynasty Warriors.

>>89791306It's come a long way. I will also say that I think Hololive's greatest strength is also one of it's greatest weaknesses. And that is it's characters. There's a lot of interesting weapons in VS. In Holocure you're a bit limited by the existing talents and their lore. There's a lot of melee weapons that the Holos already have so of course those have to be in. If the Holo is somewhat known for FPS, maybe you give them a gun. If the Holo canonically doesn't have any weapons like Matsuri, you have to give them something that makes some sort of sense, in her case a giant EbiFrion, which just ends up being yet another melee weapon swung in an arc. Of course Holocure has all the abilities which go a long way towards differentiating the characters and he's done a pretty good job of giving them some cool effects and stuff but still some of the weapons in Vampire Survivors are a lot more creative, simply because they aren't limited by existing lore.
