I like Kaoru Mori's art, it always has tons of intricate detail and contrast between light and dark. She makes strong female characters that are still classically feminine and aren't just "a man but in a woman's body". The only physical manga I own is Otoyomegatari.

I like Pre-Raphaelite art the best, and my favorite artist in that school is Rossetti. The reason I like him is because of his medievalism which uses subjects from the legend of King Arthur as well as scenes from Dante. His colors are very vibrant compared to previous academic art and create a kind of otherworldly feeling that really complements the subject matter.

I've always liked old woodcuts and engravings. Among those types of artists, Albrecht Duerer is probably my favorite. The idea of removing material to create something has always appealed more to me than adding, so I appreciate sculpture quite a bit too. I even was fortunate enough to have stone sculpture courses available at my high school so I could try it myself.

i love the idea giggles! i love Frank Frazetta's fantasy art, especially his stuff for conan. i also like Adrian Smith who's done a ton of art for warhammer (both 40k and fantasy), Angus McBride who did historical illustrations, Ciruelo Cabral, Tony DiTerlizzi (who i actually met in person at a book signing), and William O' Connor. those last 3 all do drawings of fantasy creatures like dragons and such, and i own a book from all 3 and a couple of osprey publishing books which McBride worked on. as far as comics my top 3 would be Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, and Gareth Hinds. and for animation/cartoons, i've said this in the past, but Genndy Tartakovsky has been a huge inspiration to me. i could go on and on about this, and the truth is theres so many artists i look up to, but these are definitely the big ones for me.

i guess i would have to say michelangelo as a old traditional artist. as for a modern one i really like all the antics banksy has pulled off. there are so many talented people out there now putting out high quality stuff its hard to pick one. at the same time i hold a huge appreciation for any traditional artist who is mixing paint. on that note i have alot of respect for bob ross. the amount of people who never would of got into art but did because of his simple lessons and relaxing atmosphere is heavily underappreciated in my honest opinion.

1. William-Adolphe Bouguereau - for subject matter that he leaned into most of the time and his wonderful technique and modernist interpretations of classical subjects he drew a lot of young girls and nice feet
2. Watanabe Akio - did character art for Monogatari anime and some VN's. Love his signature elements like bloomers and plastic, semi transparent bracelets
3. Kuroboshi Kouhaku - love his specific use of colour combinations and texturing. Been a fan since his early Kino no Tabi book covers
4. OmHikky - my favourite cunny artist for years
5. Dorontabi - personal hero. Love the subjects of his art, absolute honesty about his preferences and actual skill to back up his ballsy character. Love how malleable he can be with his style

She definitely has always associated herself with /vrt/ more than any of the rest.
She did a few collabs with Pamu, /freak/'s darling and just going by discussion of other vtubers in Kiki's chat, she is in the mind's of Champys more than any of her current collab coven but Kiki hasn't collabed with her in a while. Now if that because Pamu being Pamu put Kiki off as she is very into very /freak/y shit or Pamu being Pamu has made it impossible to schedule further collabs it is unclear (Pamu doesn't shine as brightly in group settings as she does 1 on 1 so it is clear why she isn't in any of the current coven's collabs). All this to say Pamu might have put Kiki off of all of /freak/ by going too hard but she could have not, we can't say and it is not in Kiki's MO to say if she did.

I'm a pleb so I don't know of many traditional artists like other more artistically enriched champies so forgive me. Here's a few from the top of my head.

His paneling and framing are impeccable and it's on par with the greats like Akira Toriyama and Yoshihiro Togashi despite his drawings being nowhere near refined. It's like well shot movie using a shitty camera.

There's an artist named Toru Nakayama that was a doujin artist for a long time and eventually got popular for having done the visual redesign for the Mega Man Zero games. His art style is incredibly distinct and recognizable. I honestly didn't like it at first but it grew on me in a big way over many years.

He posts his art on Twitter/X now, and he's actually freelance and available for projects. I've wanted for years to have the money to have him design an avatar for me or something.

It's hard for me to know for sure if it's strictly his art or if it's because I started reading the manga in the long long ago and have nostalgia for it. My favorite manga artist is Yukito Kishiro. He did the Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita manga and he draws lots and lots of neat robots and cyborgs, some really goofy or imaginative.
