Was out all day yesterday so I only saw the news just now before I go to bed. I honestly can't believe it. Fauna was one of the people I expected the least to do this any time soon. So I think something - we don't know and we can't know what - caused Kronii to peg Fauna as a "traitor", which truly widened the rift and made it extremely difficult to mend. I don't mean to point fingers who started it or guess what exactly happened, only that the conflict eventually led itself to Kronii's nuclear option.
Depending on the situation, this might have also forced the other Promise girls to privately take a side, which would be reflected in how they reacted to the graduation announcement.
