Her being in HoloEN mean that she could just coast and not bother with anything else, because Cover sorts the rest out. And being in the HoloEN ecosystem means she doesn't have to worry about building an audience.

Her whole "I want to be an idol" statement is also a half-truth. The more accurate phrasing is - she doesn't mind being an idol - so long as it doesn't require her going out of her way to do it. That's why doesn't participate in 3d lives. "Half-truths" is basically the whole gist of her statement. If you take the time and cross-reference what she says "she likes" and count the amount of times she "does things she said she likes", it doesn't add up. She's a streamer - unambitious, but entertaining. And that's fine for most people. She's smart enough to know what type of image she needs to portray to retain her audience, and she has the experience to execute it fairly well.

So far, her role in EN was to absorb the viewers that could've left whenever a member of EN fucked up. Gura disappeared? Fauna. Kronii bitched too much? Fauna. That's the main way she built up her audience. She's likeable enough, inoffensive, and has a decent sense of humor that most viewers who "just want to watch cute girls play games so I can laugh along" could latch on to. She's a safe pick. Better yet, she's a safe pick associated with a safe brand.

My RRAT is that she was banking on the fact that she has a dedicated fan base to continue on with doing things the way she wants - ie. stream and nothing else. But Cover gave Fauna an ultimatum, either do more, or get out. I think Cover was the reason she started doing more shorts. But recent negotiations fell through. In all honesty, Cover has been fairly accommodating with her not participating in 3d stuff for quite some time - I'm assuming it's with the consideration that she holds a significant bit of the EN mind share. To the point where Fauna has more leverage over the company.

Fauna knows this. That's why she's leaving and taking her audience with her. Even if it's just a portion of her past audience, it'd be enough to sustain herself since she doesn't need to split with Cover anymore. If there is a problem that causes talent graduation there's two ways of dealing with it.
1. Internal discussion, talks with talents, management etc. figure out what happened, and stop it from happening again.
2. In case no internal discussion can happen (black company or restrictions or whatever) out it in public, full details so that public pressure forces them to come to the table, discuss and fix the thing (or be labelled as black company).

And so far, the company hasn't tried to tar and feather her and is just letting her leave with a celebration, but she has tried to put the entire blame on them without saying WHY.
The onus is on her now. What did they do to you that was so bad that you had to leave?
