Nvidia is in bed with the game industry too much, theres no reason 8 GB of VRAM shouldnt be able to handle any current game and the visual increases in the last 5 years alone has not even began to justify the much higher system requirements. Yet here we are with this game recommending 12 GB of VRAM, 32 GB of RAM etc etc. Red Dead Redemption 2 looks better than this game and doesnt require a 4090 to max out

Just so you guys understand, if you watched the Digital Foundry video on the PC port, you would understand why her game was lagging. Her 3080 Ti has 12 GB of VRAM. In between OBS, Vtube Studio, Vbridge and the game, she didn't have enough. Your FPS tanks if the game doesn't have enough memory.

VRAM is meant to be used. If that is what it takes to get the game to the performance levels idTech engine games get, so be it. We shouldn't be as VRAM starved anyways but people keep buying Nvidia for most things and Nvidia keeps cutting corners on VRAM. The 3080 Ti should have had 18GB of VRAM instead of 12.
