Channel points open the option for free easy fun at the cost of watching the stream like you normally would or interacting in optional thing set up by the streamer and it easily opens the door for chat culture way faster than on youtube. Running a bet on something happening on stream that costs channel points to end up winning a shit ton that you can then use on a redeem that effects something on stream is an interaction you cant get from youtube even if you spent a bunch of money. I think my main point is anything that makes you interact differently than typing a message in chat on Youtube, besides polls, by default costs money and its pretty much just highlighting your message. Twitch has a "highlight my message" redeem a streamer could put on and set to cost as many points as you want and get the same attention you would from a supa if you wanted but the option to do both is still there. Its up to the streamer for what they do with the system but the simple fact is Twitch has the option to do more while Youtube doesnt so by default its more interactive. I understand how the biggest streamers chats can look like a mess but you dont have to look far in twitch to see why people use channel points in fun ways that isnt just a hydrate redeem
