-Dokibird slew a black corpo and remade the indiescene.-Ironmouse became the biggest Twitch streamer, period, while continuing to be a living medical experiment. -Vedal created an AI vtuber. That just leaves the twins and that one other literal-who.
They have a schizo fan who keeps botting them. Probably botted them to win.
>50th fuwamoco seethe thread in the last 24 hoursget some help
they said bau bau and that was enough
>>91612830They had more people who cared to vote for them than the other people mentionedMaybe those other vtubers should get better fans.
>>91612875Are you implying that online poles can be easily exploited?
>>91612954No seriously. I want to know. All I know about them is that they were big, but I don't know what they *created*. Being big alone does not get you awards, otherwise cookieswirl would dominate everything.
>>91612830 (Me)No, this isn't sarcastic. I am genuinely ignorant and want one of the holofans to sing their praises to me. The walled garden doesn't exactly have a lot of windows for those who only traverse the world of liggers like me.
>>91612830>Dokibird slew a black corpo and remade the indiescene.neat, might have been deserving>Ironmouse became the biggest Twitch streamerstill not a vtuber, no matter how many sleepathons she hosts>Vedal created an AI vtuber.10 minutes of work for any half retarded CS undergrad
>>91612830It was a popularity contest and they had more people votingWhich just tells you that Ironmouse is not actually that popular because Ironmouse should have won in all honesty with her breaking twitch records. Mouse fans didn't show upDokibird and Neuro are fine but their fanbases are too small or casual
>>91612830They ditched their fans to become Japanese and that's bold and based because en vtuber fans are shit
>>91612830I know you wouldn't understand but they are something we call "talented" and "entertaining.
>>91612830>while continuing to be a living medical experiment.Kek
>>91612830They have an interesting concept (twin vtubers) and reached a million subs in just over a year without needing to use drama as a tool.
>>91613745>en vtuber fans are shitThis
Hololive have multiple vtubers that are on 1+ mil subs and they're going up against vtubers with barely half of that or significantly less.As bogus as TGA is, there's a reason why fan votes are 10% and the rest are decided by media outlets. Or else you basically end up with a Hololive award show.
>>91612830>Ironmouse became the biggest Twitch streamer, period,She still hasn't hit 50k CCV once in her career even after years of nonstop shilling from the likes of Connor, QTCinderella, Hasan and Kai Cenat.
>>91612830my take, fuwamoco proves that EN vtubers can be popular using the JP formula, but no one is willing to do what they do. Leaning into their characters and twin-ness, leaning into parasociality, doing a morning show BIWEEKLY for 5/6 of a year straight. FWMCMorning is comparable to what Asacoco was if not greater.
>>91612875It was the safest and most secure election in US history, chud.
>>91612830Weekly members only twincest ASMR streams.
>>91614675what "media outlets" are there for Vtubing though? Whos opinion would you trust enough in en vtubing for them to recommend to you a smaller vtuber lets say.
>>91614809Ehhhhh FWMC morning got stale pretty quickly and I say that as someone who likes FWMC. Asacoco was cringe but it was much more varied at least.
>>91614981It got stale because they're dumb and went far beyond what they wanted to do with it. If it stayed as a 20-30 minute mini-stream it would've been fine. As it is they're trying to squeeze in all the same stuff every time they do it which makes it repetitive. Hopefully when they finally start it up again they have a much clearer vision and it effectively reboots into a 2.0. If they go right back to doing the same segments for 40-50 minutes straight I'm going to be disappointed.
>>91613799>>91613922So in other words, it doesn't have to do with how much you influence the course of vubing history (aka what some people call "drama"?)
>>91614981>>91615708I was thinking of it less in a content sense and more of a consistency sense, though I do understand where you guys are coming from. To refocus though, no one else was doing this kind of thing this year. clearly there are some problems with the format though.
>>91612875>ennacuck still mindbrokenKEKAROOOOOOOOOOO
>>91616235ennacucks would want anyone OTHER than Dokibird to win. Even if it means a holo win.
>>91616118its a fan vote for which vtuber was the "best" this year, that could mean alot of things. >>thats probably part of it, for some fan bases, but for most people I think it's just about who influenced YOU the most throughout the year.
>>91614979That's the problem, there isn't any. So it defaults to fans and you end up with Fauna winning ASMR artist of the year despite doing virtually no ASMR all year. She ends up getting a vast majority of the vote due to her graduating. So at that point, there's no way you can even do a vtuber awards reliably and fairly without major overhauls and it doesn't just turn into a popularity contest.
>>91612830They started out as video game characters in a weeb VN then they became Vtubers as the charaters of the weeb VN. Then when they got theyre final curtain call the two defied all odds and became legendary Vtubers. With the help of hololive the defiant and resilient story of the two girls itself is more than worthy of the award alone.
>>91614861>WeeklyAnon, they're barely even streaming weekly as it is. If you discount collabs, they're doing one stream this week.
>>91612830Reached 1 million subs I guess
>>91613125I think it's a few things: >1: A unique twist on vtubingThat twist being them existing as twins, having a shared channel and doing EVERYTHING together. They're not the only twin vtubers (orion twins for an example) but they do it very well and are genuinely both quite funny as individual entertainers. It's definitely something unique.>2: EffortThey put a shit load of time in. They're constantly tweeting, streaming, redditing, doing god knows what Hololive requires you to do off stream like dancing lessons and all that. Mococo does so much with her voice that she's going to sound 80 years old in a few years time, trust me. >3: SuccessThey've amassed a pretty big fanbase of loyal viewers, 1 million subs in around a year is pretty huge too. Personally, the way they talk does my fucking nut in but I can objectively see how they'd earn it.
>>91617244>twinsthe fact that they multistream to youtube on the same account is so funny
>>91616782I get what you mean, you want the awards to actually "mean" something and be like a documentation of history, rather than "who out of these 4 do you like the best" maybe fauna still wouldn't have won if she hadn't been graduating. But Fillian knows that I'm sure, surely there is a reason why she still decided to have fauna as a voteable option even if what you said is true.
>>91612830>>91613125They did the impossible. They took back the three tranny colors from the trannies. Now whenever you see a holofag with pink, white, and light blue it's no longer>oh, a tranny holofagbut rather>oh, a ruff-fag
>>91617437how and why
>>91618614Because ever since moving to Japan they've had more space so they set up a dual streaming setup so they can have two PoVs without Fuwawa being stuck using a shitty phone. It's how they're able to show both PoVs when they play Minecraft.
>>91613125>*created*This wasn't a top "creator" award. It was top vtuber. Whoever was liked by the most voters.
>>91618024nice try ENkek those are aqua's colors
>>91619586Aqua is blue/pink.
>>91618710I meant why is the fact that they multistream to youtube on the same account funnyor are you trying to say the content of the streams themselves are funny?
>>91612830They proved EOPs aren't real hololive fans
>>91612875seethe more nijikek LOL
>>91614740Still won more actual awards than Hololive
