You're either lucky to study at a college with a full and varied undergrad AI major, or your opinion doesn't count until you do a master or PhD in AI. Otherwise, your option to study AI as an undergraduate seems to be CS, but only through ignorance, a class or two, and possibly a minor. It's about as good as a Psy major taking an AI specialization. On the other hand, CS majors are more primed to draw incorrect conclusions due to having no real experience with fields that actually study things related to intelligence and cognition. That's why you end up getting guys like that Google engineer that graduated as a software engineer thinking that his chatbot is literally conscious and deserves personhood.
