probably not. people dont tend to redraw the same image in multiple sizes. its really easy to rescale a image down but almost impossible to scale up. either way the image will become distorted and the artist is going to have to do some touch ups. 2k x 1.5k is pretty decent in resolution. only 4k monitors or larger will show blurryness when stretched to full screen

there is something we can do as fans as well. become stronger mediators of the want to watch kiki. i've had this in mind for awhile but its a struggle to do alone and intentionally, usually its just a dynamic that happens.
basically a lot of things are popular because they're popular. people see that it is wanted so they want it too. we could try a little harder to express why being a champy and watching kiki is a good thing.

My biggest piece of advice would be to work on keeping up your chat interaction throughout your longer streams. You have gotten really good at being entertaining and interactive during the first two hours or so of your streams, but past that point you talk less frequently. A casual viewer who wanders into your stream at hour 4 will get a completely different impression than someone who comes in at hour 1.
Apart from that the content that draws in new viewers is collabs, which you have been doing a ton of, but more collabs with big streamers like the Among Us one you did a while back would help.
But I want to also emphasize that you have improved and grown so much and I don't want this post to sound negative. You are already a great streamer and you have the ability and the mentality now to be even better. Love you Kiki.

maybe this is what god meant by not worshipping false idols. that god should be the only source of desire rather than your fellow man. It's better to compare yourself to ideals and high beings, those around you, and even yourself.
a lot of what this video talks about seems exacerbated In the vtuber community, especially /vt/. for both chuubas and their fans. everyone either wants what others have or doesn't know what their want so look to others to get it.
personally, I think god should be the only mediator in life or if you are unreligious at least a higher ideal rather than a person. I think comparing yourself to other real people around you as this video talks about ends with self-destructive behaviour.

yes i'd say envy and resentment are the currently most destructive sins for society. my friend said greed, but often the people who complain about greed are resentful that they aren't rich.
as for mimetic desires... well i look at it more pragmatically and optimistically. left unchecked it is absolutely destructive, but i don't see it as all too bad to imitate and admire other people within reason. i don't think it is even possible to never fall prey to it. more like when you catch yourself acting silly ask yourself why and consider this as one of the possibilities.

I still think it is a better rule to desire an ideal form or an idea than a person. one: people are flawed and may not be good to desire without you knowing. and two: envying people makes it easier to trick yourself into thinking it is possible and obtainable to actually be them. in contrast, following an ideal form is by its nature unobtainable so this trick of the mind never happens. you would have to be some kind of crazy to get jealous of god. ultimately I don't think it's a good idea to flirt with the dark thoughts in your head that want you to take what others have and become them. It may be possible to dance on the edge and remain in control of your desires but I am not willing or foolish enough to try.

do you think the vtubing community being covered in envy for both the fans and creators is because there is a high amount of mental illness /here/ or that society as a whole is becoming more like this and /here/ is a microcosm of the problem? Or is it something else?

i woke up just to piss but now i need to rant.

we've never had so many, but all my life we have had some pets, nearly always multiple, and nearly the whole time we were too poor and dysfunctional to have any. my mom and sister just keep bringing in strays or dogs they got gifted or accepted to take care of... and i have to live at their whims. even right now while we aren't as poor we can't fucking handle 2 dogs and 2 cats. the decision to adopt each pet was irresponsible and the way they act with them afterwards is irresponsible.

in our previous apartment the door lock was completely busted so even a light draft opened the front door. we just leaned a chair on it to keep it closed. animals didn't come and go as they pleased, but one of my dogs ran away because everyone left the apartment and you cant set up the chair perfectly from the outside. never saw sarah the german shepard again, someone probably took her in since she was a purebreed.

i have a female cat right now that has a male name... but overall this is the least of anyone's problems.

firstly, carpets. all of them ruined by dogs shit and piss and thrown out eventually. our new apartment is starting to have the floorboards rise from dog piss too in some areas giving me mild trauma of the old apartment.
my mom doesn't eat the meat off the bone, quite the opposite she overshares her food with the pets. just yesterday she threw a sausage for them to randomly eat aside from their dog food. one dog claimed it for later apparently but the other just started eating it which caused a fight, not to mention these are sausages meant for humans and they might have way too much sodium and can damage their kidneys. she even sometimes tries to give them a bit of chocolate, and despite all my rage she will do it again.
there are bones too of course, and that dog that likes to save food for later loves stashing them on my bed. this all barely scratches the surface of the crazy shit but i stay because nobody else would stay with my crazy mom, including my sister. its like trying to save a 1view but its your mum.

yeah, me. i prefer the transparency, and i think that pressure is a good motivator for more people to chip in with smaller donations. not just pressure, its like a visual display of your donation mattering. filling bars is satisfying.

I do think it would be good to focus on the easy bottlenecks first though. like a second monitor and a comfy chair. these things would immediately improve your quality of life and streaming and are one time expenses that are fairly easy to get. if you have an amount in mind what would the ballpark be per month?

the thing is this doesn't begin as a dark thought. at its simplest its monkey see monkey do. buying a popular brand over an unknown one is a mimetic desire and evolutionarily speaking it makes sense, its social proof. grug ate white mushroom and didn't die so i want to eat white mushroom. a situation where it becomes toxic would be something like "incels", not merely being forever alone but also terribly sad about it because they want what others have, and they end up desperately looking for a "father figure" like andrew tate to emulate.
but instead, why not let your dad mediate your desires a bit? he got married and went to college or whateva, so you want that too. maybe you try that and it doesn't work out, you don't actually like marriage or college, but it was a reasonable try.

I don't disagree. I think mimetic desire is a part of the human experience and will be ignored at your own peril. I think holding yourself to God (or an idea for atheists) is in fact a mimetic desire for a kind of moral perfection of the soul. The guy mentioned it in the video itself. Christians mimic Jesus in a mimetic desire as we believe doing so makes us like him in a way and therefore makes us good. I believe having a mimetic desire for only immaterial things like God, Jesus, or an ideal is ultimately better for the average guy. you can't get jealous of God for having more than you or getting the girl, or being liked more. the ideal is unpossessive and in my opinion more healthy.

last stream kiki was talking about champ chibbing in with some ideas for creative content. and know kiki already does it but the date stream with the camera walking around is my favorite and I know one of the reasons for there being fewer of them is just that it's hard to find good camera walk videos to use with a nice theme and aren't boring. so an idea I had is we could all go looking for camera walk vids on youtube, find good ones, and then put them all in a google doc or something like that so kiki has a library to pick from. I think it would massively streamline the process for her to make a date stream and would leave her with more time to think of fun activities to do in the stream. thoughts?
