A couple of nights ago the sailors were talking about a shooting star that stopped in the sky. They said it stopped in the sky just before it flickered out. Nobody has seen anything like it. Well except that it wasn't a shooting star. It was an exhile capsule, mine to be exact, that entered the atmosphere from space. The capsule looked like it stopped in the sky when it deployed the parachute from the earthbound perspective. I was fortunate, or rather unfortunate, that the capsule landed within the isle caldera. Not knowing where I was when I landed I began securing resources for my survival. Mostly firewood, or hard reeds in this case, to boil drinking water to cook my rations. The fire is a dead giveaway to the library guards whom immediately arrested me. They stripped me of everything, my jumpsuit, my knife, my supplies. Then I was thrown into a cast iron cage until they can find someone who speaks my language.I stayed quiet in my cell. I was not given anything but hard tack and water for about three days. I began to feel myself going mad at everything going wrong.Today is the fourth sunrise. I wake up to something slamming my cage. A ghouls shrieks at me scarring me half to death. I nearly soiled myself. "You feeling alive now!?" The ghoulish man says in an strange accent. I reply. "Y-yes." The man gives me a hot copper mug filled with a sweet hot fruit wine. I don't know what it is nor do I care. I sip the hot wine. Almost choking on the first swallow. "Right man," the ghoul says sitting in a chair in front of my cell. "You have a long tale to tell me. Where did you come from? How did you get here? And how did you make such delicious food out of just hot water?" I glare at the ghoul. He laughs. "It's not up to me to decide what to do with ya. But do be honest. You're on trial."
