That said I think that while she clearly looks up to various vtuber, the one she admittedly admired the most has always been Ame, so I'd consider her the closest to be considered her oshi.

Unfortunately, I'm only here since last February.
I have a lot of weebish interests, so I've been aware of vtubers since the Kizuna Ai era but paid pretty much no attention to them until mid-2021, when I clicked by chance on a compilation of clips of Korone playing SMB1. Since then I got progressively hooked up more and more, discovering chuubas and corpos and developing my set of favorites. Ironically enough Selen wasn't among them: I knew who she was and watched a fair share of clips especially the collabs with Vox and Enna, the fucking irony, but her interest in FPS games filtered me.
Fast forward to February 2024, I observed the whole mess at a distance and I shamefully admit that I tuned in for her return stream only out of curiosity about the drama. Less than two weeks later I was already membered first content creator I have ever given money. I now own merch, I'm completely hooked, and frankly I am a bit bummed about missing out almost three years of content. She really is great.

The first time I saw anything of Millie though, was when I watched Elira and Petra's Minecraft collab when they started making that Nooters building in the server that Finana used to own, and Millie joined them to make the windows look like tits. I wholeheartedly believe that if Selen was in Ame's situation, she would've played out in almost the exact same way as Ame did, including burnout. Maybe if both of them were there it wouldn't be the case, but Selen likely would've burnt out from "male collab" backlash, constantly being told no on projects etc. I think the only way selen could've been fit into holo at any point would be if she replaced Sana and thus was there on the ground floor to support Ame/Fauna/Mumei.

But if Selen made it into Holo and not Niji, she likely would've never grown so close to Pomu, and I wouldn't give up that friendship for the sake of a better Holo timeline.
If anything, I think 2021-2022 sayu could've fit in really well and it would've saved her from the current situation, but I digress...
