I think "eat under" is the problem for most people. Hunger cues, habits, and the strength of those impulses vary from person to person. What's easy for one person may be much more difficult for another, and that other person may not have the same mental discipline to deal with it either. You mention yourself how drugs like Ozembic make it much easier for many by lowering the strength of those impulses, so isn't it fair to then allow that some individuals may naturally be set out to fail by the way their bodies and minds push them to interact with food?

Of course, implying they have NO control over the matter is disingenuous, but still it's not as if the playing field is completely level and every fat person could have been skinny just as easily as every skinny person too.

Also I think simple observation would make it obvious that if this was simple or easy there wouldn't be so many fat people in the world. Like, it sucks to be fat. Yeah there are people out there that make bad decisions for short term pleasure but that feels wholly insufficient to explain the number of people that choose to exist in this shitty state if they could easily change things, or the amount that do try to lose weight, often succeed for months or years, and then relapse and wind up right back where they started. Yes, ultimately they have control, but it's not as easy as many like to make it seem. If it were easy the world wouldn't look the way it does.

Yeah, I mean I guess it is, but none of us make perfect choices all the time. I don't think it's fair to blame someone for making a bad choice if they were put in a situation where it was 100x harder for them to avoid making that choice, or to act as if someone who wasn't struggling against the same pressures is somehow better than them for not having made the same choice.
