Consider having a PNG available. If you have technical difficulties you might notice that access to functioning non-PNG model is not always available. I have seen this situation with ARK survival Evolved, and even GTA 5 where vtubers have the ability to run a game, but not run a game, and have a functioning non-png model at the same time while they are streaming. By having a PNG model handy you can skip any drama of wanting to be a vtuber and play the game you downloaded at the same time. There are a wide array of ways you can decide to run a PNG with something as simple as a series of two different positions as you push to talk to perhaps even having some positions you can toggle. I have seen streams where even a static PNG with no other positions was accepted so really I guess it doesn't matter too much as long as your PNG is definitely recognizabile as your vtuber avatar. I have even seen situations where a PNG avatar was used to represent a vtuber where the association was not clear, but the vtuber used oral communication to make it clear that he was using a ai generated avatar as his model for that stream.
I have seen in my time a vast array of PNG models used. Some PNG models (the more static ones) are used in relaxed positions, or resting positions while other PNG models that have more toggle, or positions have been made at a attentive position. I myself have managed to be a vtuber once by PNG. I was invited to a show where the host had a PNG models ready for me. I guess I should mention that too. If you have any fantasy of collabing with someone it could be of great benefit to have a PNG model of them available to you on the random off chance that such a collab happens on short notice without much time to prepare, or make arrangements. You never know when someone might be available to collab with you out of the blue, and often times that's how collabs happen as the lives of most streamers can be difficult to predict, and very difficult to make planned arrangements with when it comes to collabs, and things of that nature when it comes to streaming. Recently you may have noticed that in even holo live surprise collabs have been trending if that tells you anything about the nature of streaming, so have that spare PNG handy in case that moment comes that you might have a desire to use it in a effective way that makes things easier for you, and your ever attentive loyal audience.
I guess I should also mention that having some png items, or assets of things you may want to post, or paste on your stream could be of benefit as well. There's a vtuber you may be familiar with if you frequent this thread who goes by Haru. During his holiday stream Haru had a holiday festive tail which he decorated as a tree would be decorated during the more festive time of the year. Haru if I remember correctly decorated his festive tail with an assortment of PNG images he could clip to the tail which was swaying thanks to his rigging. It was quite a spectacle. I'm not saying you have to copy Haru exactly, but if there was something you wanted to bring to the attention of your audience in a clear yet playful way having a PNG available to express that would be good should that moment ever come to you while you are live streaming.

I do not find this sort of discussion all that useful, anyone could "make it", anyone who can find a good enough niche or who does their best and gets a lucky break will make it, it makes no sense to try and talk about who "can" when reaching such a state is achievable by anyone who simply finds their way to do it.

As someone who works with Japanese artists I can tell you exactly what to do.
Firstly, DeepL is a free translation software and gets the point across 99% of the time, with 1% confusion. Secondly, if you are using English (you shouldn't be) use small words and don't use words that don't exist in Japanese (example being fishnets not being the proper term for that type of clothing in Japan). Thirdly, if you do bring in your own image that is actually quite helpful for the artist, I commissioned an English speaking character designer then brought in those images for the Japanese model maker. As far as credits go you must credit the character/outfit designer as well as the model artist and model rigger. Don't be a scumbag, credit the people who worked hard on your stuff.

That's not true and twitch algorithm is shit, it's based on shared viewers/followers. Front page is not random, you have to ask twitch for it beforehand and get approval. It's actually not that easy to get.
But yes, you are exposed to more eyes with longer stream simply because your stream spans across different time zones. If you want example of long stream - check out meat or ClioAite.

Thanks to the anon giving general advice in the previous thread. Been wrecking my brain a bit how to turn the advice into reality. Consistency wise my new years resolution was going for 5 hour streams minimum and between 2 hours of the same time, between 9-11 pm on stream days already, so that one should somewhat be accounted for. Don't think I'll be able to stream more than 3-2 times since my time is a bit too limited.

For the quality stuff, I should start moving my sound redeems over to sammi and play around with that already for starter. I also saw a couple vgen guys who do edits of 4-5 hour strims for around 50-80 bucks so I've been playing with the thoughts of hiring them... But not sure yet...

For promotion and self-advertisement stuff... Uhm.. I actually don't know. I was planning to raid into bigger streamers more often, especially the ones who are following me as well but like... I dunno how much that's working out for me :/ other than that I dunno what I could be doing. Clips are obvious but I genuinely don't have the time to start making clips as well...

I think in terms of consistency, you just need to get back on track, you used to be more consistent but throughout last year you lost quite a bit of it, but once you can settle back on a schedule, get the streams going, and go back to your rythm it will all be back.
On the idea of quality, you do have quite a good production, and your zatdus where you fill the screen with everything that you talk about are incredibly good on entertainment value, at best I would suggest adding some sort of guiding thread to follow what has been talked about before and what you are talking about in the present, but your chaotic format has also a charm of its own; that aside, while remaining on the idea of these zatsus, I would recommend you get your youtube going with some algo engagement, to hit a lucky video from the get go is quite hard, so you try to upload some shorts and THEN upload a compilation! Nonetheless, the forementioned zatsus are probably some of the most interesting original content for those editors if you want to try and make sure that you are getting your money worth in quality.
And, on the final topic, the general route is to go to wider audiences with your product, Haru didn't get mentioned because he is a very good example of what to do: if you can, go shill in other boards, go shill in reddit. And also: try to get ads, either here or in something like X, maybe promote your [vtuber presentation thread], stuff like a get to know me, or such. On X most chuubas use to do at least one long tweet thread with varied info: who they are, what they do, what is their content, lore, what to expect, goals, some achievements... such stuff. All of that can then be converted into an ad if you use the ad system of twitter, it was pretty intuitive!

Seems like it would be easier just to post your own independent thread on /vt/ if you're a vtuber looking for exposure. Link all your stuff in the OP like every other general does. Even if it doesn't get bumps it might down out the weird "Look at my ___ wife" threads.
