Playing an invis hero is only "scary" when you're playing against good players who know how to deal with you, which is where invis heroes become support heroes
Playing against noobs you will own the map because they lack the game sense required to deal with it

In an ideal game, the wards that support + one other role like mid or top provides is more than enough. Everyone can buy control wards to supplement their vision as well. If a champion with invis is making teamfighting too difficult, it is definitely worth to have one role grab an extra sweeper. The two wards kinda suck to lose, but a team that knows what they're doing can easily work around it.

That is kind of league's baseline though. A lot of the invis in league tends to be tied to skills with fairly long cooldowns, or ults, and they tend to be only a couple seconds long when they use it. It usually takes quite a while for them to max the skill and have enough CDR to use often.

I'm the anon from earlier talking about changing from yellow trinket to sweeper, and I just wanted reiterate that wards from supp + another role is usually enough. Supp can place 3 wards from their item, and whatever other role has yellow can place 2. Not to mention control wards. It's not that big of a deal to swap trinkets. And sweepers really fucks up champs that utilize their invis to teamfight. The whole point is that they're usually squishy and avoid dmg by being unseen.

Also, I don't know when the last time you played was, but they don't have flat CDR anymore. It's ability haste now, which means you can't have as much cooldown reduction as before. A fed Riki can instantly kill a weak support if he catches them so it doesn't matter how strong each hero is in the fight itself, it's the fact that you have no idea where he is before the fight starts and the only way to not die is to be in a different place all together

Its baseline is usually short-duration invisibility, long cooldown, tied to some kind of condition, or on an ultimate. And some of these aren't even invisibility. Senna E is a camouflage, which literally creates a giant circle you can see. Evelynn, Pyke, Twitch, Viego are also all camouflages where you can see them with NO SWEEPER if you're within a certain radius. Akali's invis is tied to her W which is like 20 second CD to start and she's only invisible within that circle. I'm done saying anything to you. You just conveniently ignore whatever parts I say that are contrary to your argument.
