I think the main point of “affiliate” is the possibility of return.
I think what the management is trying to argue is that if the talent becomes more willing to work under the hololive name, a comeback is possible.
Of course, the management is not stupid, so if they apply for reinstatement, they will add new terms and conditions to the contract, such as the question of enthusiasm, which will be clearly stated in the justice or holo-device.

If management keeps making sexist decisions than maybe it was no different than a graduation but several others including Gura, Kronii, Ina, and Mumei would leave as well.
