I did not really have a way to describe why I don't really gel with FWMC but I think this is it: they are artificial. It does not seem like they are just shooting the shit and having fun, it feels like I'm being sold a product, and their concern with numbers doesn't help matters even a bit. And yes, vtubing is literally selling a product and even Cover is transitioning towards treating their talents as products for merch and ads (which is why it makes sense for them to have the "affiliate" distinction so they can still use the vtuber likeness even after graduation, why Gura is still kept around, why some talents have decided to go indie), but when it becomes this apparent, it just kills the mood. I am not interested in watching something so blatantly plastic.
