There used to be AdBlock plugins that would stop the ads but it seems they no longer work, has anyone managed to get sometime working yet?

>>94020823>How to watch VTubers WITHOUT ads ruining it?by watching on youtube instead of fucking twitch
I can't find a script to block the chubba doing another GAMERSUPPS ad.
>>94021274Youtube has ads too
>>94020823I have not seen ads in years. Use uBlock.>Navigate to the uBlock Origin Dashboard (the extension options)>Under the My filters tab add twitch.tv##+js(twitch-videoad).>Under the Settings tab, enable I am an advanced user, then click the cog that appears. Modify the value of userResourcesLocation from unset to the full url of the solution you wish to use (if a url is already in use, add a space after the existing url). e.g. userResourcesLocation https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions/master/vaft/vaft-ublock-origin.js>To ensure uBlock Origin loads the script I recommend that you disable/enable the uBlock Origin extension (or restart your browser).DO NOT FORGET TO DO THIS>Under the My filters tab add twitch.tv##+js(twitch-videoad).

>>94022241Ads run whether the streamer hits the ad button or not. They have a button to delay ads but it only works a couple times before it forces the ad.If a streamer manually runs ads, with a given amount per hour (3 minutes or so), then Twitch won't run pre-roll ads on their stream.
>>94020929>>94021834This is the true way. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me and it works flawlessly for months now.

>>94021670Haven't seen a YouTube ad using the default uBlock settings, ever. Actually, on any site, only Twitch is autistic about their ads.
>>94020929I'm going to reinstall Vaft to see if this get fixed

>>94024672youtube and most adblockers are in a constant arms race. there was a period about a year back where youtube broke adblockers for like a month and only let people with adblockers watch 3 videos a day before preventing videos from loading as long as the adblocker was turned on. usually though, whatever change they make all of the adblockers jump to update in a few hours. What twitch does is it has about a bazillion url hosts under the AWS that they stream their ads from and they change it CONSTANTLY. This prevents most common adblockers from being able to lock in and block a given url, because by the time they have made the change on their side twitch is already two steps ahead. The simple solution is to use a more hardcore scriptblocker that has a whitelist and blocks EVERYTHING you dont permit, and then you manually permit twitch and a few scripts that it checks to function, while keeping the actual ad sources blocked no matter what they change to. But this is beyond the expectations of the average internet user.

>>94024672Youtube just throttles your entire fucking browser instead
>>94026156Is there a script to stop that?
>>94020823I just use Vivaldi browser, no extensions or anything. It's funny because it's set up only to block ads with trackers or autoplay, but in reality I haven't seen a single ad in years because of it.
>>94020823uBlock Origin
>>94026156Restarting the browser turns it back to normal. It only happens to me when watching a stream for like 3 hourst. firefox+ublock origin
>>94026626I tried Vivaldi for a while. I figured I'd probably need a chrome exclusive extension for class one day and tried to daily drive it but running old uBlock made that shit crash (or maybe it would've crashed anyway) and uBlock lite worked (sometimes) but made YouTube extremely slow. Also, they claimed they were cutting support for Violentmonkey. Was the built-in adblocker really that good that I didn't need any of that?
