How did dodo's survive for so long
>>99133848The dodos on Loreli adapted to an omnivorous diet. They eat shellfish along with fruit and grass.
I guess I'll explain a bit. Carnivores tend to be more intelligent than herbivores in general. That's because carnivores have to naturally outsmart their prey to survive. Meat and fat are also more calorie dense than most natural plants. So when you're on a deserted extinct volcano where half the year is dry you need to find food elsewhere. These dodos adapted intelligent behavior to use tools to crack sea shells and coconuts. Course when humans came to cultivate the land the dodos thrived off the crops. Unlike our dodos that went extinct due to habitat destruction on Madagascar these dodos habitats and food are on the rocky uninhabitable sea shores. Also their behavior and intelligence is perfect for taming and eventually domestication.
wao
>>99136671but why didn't they change all the much in the years leading to this
oaw
>>99140601Need more research on that question. There are many things we don't know about rock dodos. Maybe if we dig up fossils we'll reach a discovery.

waoooo
Believe it or not wao-ing is a very complex language. Instead of using words wao-ing uses pitches in syntax for speech. The reason why humans don't get it is because many of these wao-ing frequencies are too high pitched for us to hear. This is merely a hypothesis.
>>99171736but others seem to understand them though
>>99173840You can read the waos by the shape of their jaw, a bit like a deaf person lip-reading.
>>99136671Upon a crag where breakers cry,Where sun beats down and winds run dry,A breed of bird did rise anew—Not dim, but sharp, with minds that grew.No gentle grazers meek and slow,These dodos learned from wave and woe.Where others pecked at leaf and stem,These sought the sea’s locked diadem. With beak and stone and cunning claw,They cracked the shell with studied law,Coconuts split with measured aim—Survival won through thinking flame.Their land was not the jungle deep,But rocky shores the sea would sweep. No farmer came to reap or sowWhere salt and time eroded slow.Yet when man came with fields in hand,And cleared and carved the fertile land,These dodos—clever, bold, and sly—Did not retreat or curl and die. They watched, they learned, they changed their path,They filled their bellies, tamed their wrath. From crops they gleaned a richer fare,And found in us a kindred care. Not lost like kin on isles once green,These birds endured the in-between—Between the wild and hearth’s embrace,They found in thought a thriving place. So mark them not as foolish past,But creatures made to think, to last. For nature’s law is writ in mind,And sharpest teeth may lag behind.
>>99182482>With beak and stone and cunning claw,>They cracked the shell with studied law, first time I see dodos described as cunning, holy kino
>>99182585Rock dodos are very cunning. They know where all the good foraging spots are. They know where all the good fishing spots are. They learned to crack coconuts and sea shells. They also learned to snack on ship mice that land.
>>99120586>>98925891Damn, it's been a while, huh? Anyways, /tsunX/ and /pcgia/ have now been officially added to the map. Welcome to Viti!

do deadbeats know magic
>>99202913I caught a chunk of it, it was nice. That lobby really filled up fast.>>99207845Ame bless the /awat/ CDC isn't letting any snake oil medicine get sold in the streets.Does awat have something like the super seed vault in iceland where they keep one of every plant seed to repopulate the planet in case we nuke it into ashes.>joshu worksmayo explosions... sounds unsanitary.>>99217155Deadbeats are actually some of the foremost practitioners of magicka, split up between the zealous priests of the Temple of the Ilim, the students of the civilian magical academies, and a variety of military groups. Most citizens have at least some familiarity with the use of magical devices due to their commonplace nature, while intrinsic spellcasting is a skill more akin to being a skilled gunman, not universal but accessible to most with sufficient training. To become a truly powerful mage of Death however, great personal sacrifices, willpower and natural affinity is required, making strong wizards rarer.
