It's slowly approaching, winterbrehs. You gonna go out and do something in the snow? I keep wanting to go and have a two or three day stay in a rented snowy cabin in the mountains and just play old vidya from when I was happier, and go for walks. But I don't think I'm gonna cuz I'm a lazy piece of shit. And very tired. But here's some encouragement to anyone who wants to go out and do something wintery. You deserve it.
>>8015145I'll be lucky if there's gonna be any snow here (Netherlands) at all this winter. When I was little you had normal 4 seasons, always lots of snow and ice in the winter, so much fun.Now it's like there's a long summer and long fall
>>8015152Yeah, Netherlands is fucked in that way. I wonder which EU country has some nice snowfall that you don't have to go into the heart of the mountains to experience it. I'm thinking Austria but even when I was looking at webcams last year there was barely any snow in Austrian towns in December. Snowfall does pick up in January but I was hoping I could get a snowy Christmas somewhere urban.PS: same situation in Romania, we used to have big-ass snowfall when I was younger and then it all started to go downhill. Now we're lucky if we get a couple of days of heavy snowfall then it melts into dogshit :(
>>7998453Neat. I live an hour from that citgo. Maybe I'll go back when we have now and get a more up-to-date picture with current gas price.
>>8015152Same here in Belgium. It's been forever since I had a white Christmas, it sucks
I'm >>8015217It started snowing around these parts. Check ithttps://www.arieseni.info/page/camera-web-vartop
Wish we had those lights in Greece.
>>7980320de-watermarked this one.
>>8015152>>8024596I live in northern Spain and it's been years since the last snowfall in my town, when I was a kid there was always at least one snowfall a year.
>>8028729>>8007640Lovely. Anyone have others like these?
>>8008324>>7997390>>8015145any papes that are like these 3 mixed?
>>8029154In Europe? Maybe look at Austria or Finland, but neither of those places have that "big city covered by snow" feel to them. I don't think you're getting that unless you're in New York (a shithole to live in but I'd give my left nut to live a snowy November-February in there) or Chicago. But in Europe I'm not so sure. I think Kiev had this kind of snow but you know, they're having some trouble.>>8015145 kind of looks like a small UK/England town but they hardly get any snow as well.Finland might also be what you're looking for. Check out Lapland. Or Espoo. Or Norway, pic related, Narvik. Also Canada.
I live in Moscow, and I haven't been to many places. But once I fell in love with a girl who lives almost at the end of the world. It was my first airplane flight in my life. The flight crossed nine time zones. The relationship didn't work out, and we ended up breaking up. But I saw the beauty of the area, and I don't regret it one bit. The city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is located in the bay, around which are snowy hills and volcanoes. It is better to see it in real life.
>>8030151this is a really nice picture anon, do you have any more of the area?

>>8029154I'm >>8030114 and I JUST realized that you said "papes" (as in wallpapers), when I initially thought you misspelt "places". Anyway, fuck me
>>8030728Not that anon but don't feel bad, your answer was still informative, so thanks.

While technically in the spring, it snowed when I was staying in the blue mountains of Colorado. 9000 feet in the air. Never seen such snow or experienced such bliss.I remember when I was a kid, I chose to walk home from a friends house after a sleepover. His mom told me to wake her up so she could take me home, but I lived in the neighborhood right across so it wasn’t far at all. I was about 10 or 11. I was walking on the street around 7 in the morning, it was snowing and quite cold out. We had just gotten dumped on a few days before, lots of snow everywhere. Completely covering cars, roofs and trees, like a big fluffy blanket. As I stepped on the freshly fallen snow, I heard and felt the crunch and squeak of the snow on my feet. I stopped. I took notice how beautiful the snow was and how peaceful it was. All I could hear was the slight whistling of the gentle wind in the distance. I thought, “wow, this is beautiful. I love winter” What was your moment when you knew you loved winter, bros?
>>7991582I remember the era when this picture was all over every dubstep video on Youtube.

Trying times ahead, winter brehs. Summer can be a drag but we can make the best of it. I'll be riding my motorcycle and doing what I can to make this hot season work.>>8048980Can't say that there's this one grandiose moment that made me realize winter is the GOAT season. I've always liked it and always dreamt and still dream of heavy snowfall, Christmas trees and all around general goodness.I guess the best times of my life happened at winter time. Winter break from school, people not leaving like they would for summer break, good food, sweets and all that. It used to be so magical.Nowadays, not as much of course. Adulthood is ass. But I can still pretend I'm a kid when it's snowing outside.
True OP here, somehow this thread is over a year old now, quite a bit has changed but quite is bit is still the same with my life, what have the rest of you winter enjoyers done in the past year?
>>8057571Hail OP. Some life-altering stuff has happened, losing a loved one but the world doesn't stop just because your world is shattered. You just pick up, go to work and you move on (which is a depressing fact of life). Then the next tragedy strikes. But at least there's winter to look forward to.
>>8057571day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different. we lose friends and we gain friends. But at least cat system works, and there are many cats to pet. i also cant wait for winter 228 days left

>>8015145I want to fellow winterbreh. It doesn't snow nearly as much as it used to where I am and I miss the serenity of winter. I have a friend who lives in the mountains of colorado, maybe I'll go visit him.
>>8083494Do it. At least a week in the snow. Can't post pics from this ISP I guess so here's a nice facebook post606307082869043/permalink/2895974977235564
