I always wonder where you guys find soundtracks for these. The stuff I'm into is pretty much gutter-tier (aka idolshit), so I kinda don't even know where to start looking for any of that genre/vibe
>>5564743A good place to start is soundcloud, but in general, you can make a bump out of anything if you try hard enough. For soundcloud, check the "lofi.hiphop" tag since people shit up the normal lofi tag. The ambient tag is also great, I'd recommend taking a look over there as well. If you wanna use songs you like, that's entirely up to you. As long as you enjoy the process and you follow the general rules (use the font, etc.), then it doesn't really matter what music you use.

>>5606410the classical piece sounds fine but i think the 'spike of excitement' disrupts the audio visual flow in that 'holding cassette scene' vs 'playing the tape' followed by the disrupt. i would arrange the music to stay low key and ambient there. for the other song, i don't know if you intend to have a stark contrast or just a some contrast and invoke a nostalgic feeling. for the latter i suggest using a high pass filter to emulate boombox speakers and reverb to simulate the room for immersion, fitting it into the visible scene. i really like the first cut to black and the fade-in of the classical song merging into a mix with the ambient sounds.
