haven't tried windows 11, but every other OS i've ran it on worked fine, little to no crashes. and I played through many faction questlines and the main story just fine, even without mods. If you're willing to install one third party software, though, OpenMW does wonders for quality of life

all TES games have pretty poorly integrated mechanics, but of all the 3D ones, morrowind is hands down the best. Every skill serves a function, NEARLY all magic effects are useful and interesting (forget detect key). The dynamic encumberance system means that all armor types are viable. Only area where it's a bit weak is sneak. The way weapon skills work, you actually feel a tangible change along the path from weapon skill 15 and 100 unlike Oblivion/Skyrim, so progression feels great. Also, the fast travel system is very engaging and integrated into the world perfectly, whereas Oblivion had zero world integration for fast travel and Skyrim had the bare minimum.

yes, unbalanced like all TES games. But it's unbalanced in a very fun way. I think being able to fly around the map or teleport everywhere provided I perform some work to get there, or one shot everything with my weapon if I train like rocky balboah and abuse stimulants is really cool.

Yeah considering the horrendous quality Bethesda has been churning out, having TES6 function as a peaceful walking simulator with Jeremy Soule music in the background is one thing they would have succeed at even if everything else was garbage. Just look at starfield and its "soundtrack".
It's abysmal. Same combat song playing every few seconds, I couldn't tell if there's any variation.
Main theme is drums and horns and that same theme is present throughout whole "soundtrack".
Half of Elder Scrolls success is soundtrack, it's stupid denying that.
Games by themselves aren't anything impressive, they are quite average.
It's the soundtrack that inspires players to explore the world within the game.
That's the best I can describe it with words.
Really, if they'll keep that hack zur for elder scrolls 6 it's going to be a massive flop.

Zur isn't even the problem, check out what he did for Fallout 76. The problem is Bethesda not even knowing what kind of tone they were trying ton convey in Starfield. I still don't think they even know what they wanted with Starfield except for "DUDE MULTIVERSE LMAO." When they can't even figure out what they want their game to say, I have to assume Zur did what he could. F76 might be a horrible launch for a game, but the exploration and the (previous) lack of people while you're following story beats is pretty lonely and great. The man can do work but he legimately needs something to work with:

Player equips command spells. These spells are meant to be used to make enemies fight on your side, but they're easily exploitable for other ends
Player uses command spell on travel NPC. Morrowind doesn't have fast travel like Oblivion and Skyrim, instead you have NPCs in silt strider stations or ports that allow you to travel to other cities for a modest fee. Being that the NPC in question now follows the player, it allows him to fast travel to other cities from anywhere by just talking to him
Player takes the fast travel NPC to the final dungeon. Normally you can't leave this dungeon until you've completed the mission and the spells you'd normally use to teleport out of there are disabled, but the developers didn't think of the possibility of taking the fast travel NPC with you in there, so that still works
Player casts command on the Heart of Lorkhan. That is the thing you have to destroy to complete the main quest. It technically counts as a creature, so when command is cast it will "follow" the player, although it can't move it will fast travel with him
Finally, player fast travels taking the Heart of Lorkhan with him
Player has brought the Heart of Lorkhan, the final objective of the main quest, to Seyda Neen, the very first town of the game, all without cheats or mods
