all things TES
ESO flickering Shadows music box.
Everything after Morrowind sucked
>>5638156Oblivion was peak elder scrolls
>>5638169Hell no, Oblivion was dogshitNot only was the game nearly unplayable (never been able to finish it without modding it to hell and back), it's also when the setting and lore got as bland and generic as possible
>>5638044I really like skyrim
>>5638189wrong
>>5638047LOL never saw this but it's brilliant
>>5638451its a good one

>>5638490poor emmet no one watches his morrowind lets play
>>5638189morrowind is unplayable, shit mechanics, totally unbalanced, terrible graphics (and I'm 41)
>>5638189It was also the starting point of the microtransactions blight in the gaming industry, with that fucking horse armorOblivion truly was a mistake, i have no idea how people get nostalgic over that piece of garbage
>>5638704>i have no idea how people get nostalgic over that piece of garbageBecause it was my first TES experience, I was young (and didn't give a shit about optimising my build), and it was fun. Exploring Ayleid ruins was great.

>>5638663>unplayablehaven't tried windows 11, but every other OS i've ran it on worked fine, little to no crashes. and I played through many faction questlines and the main story just fine, even without mods. If you're willing to install one third party software, though, OpenMW does wonders for quality of life>shit mechanicsall TES games have pretty poorly integrated mechanics, but of all the 3D ones, morrowind is hands down the best. Every skill serves a function, NEARLY all magic effects are useful and interesting (forget detect key). The dynamic encumberance system means that all armor types are viable. Only area where it's a bit weak is sneak. The way weapon skills work, you actually feel a tangible change along the path from weapon skill 15 and 100 unlike Oblivion/Skyrim, so progression feels great. Also, the fast travel system is very engaging and integrated into the world perfectly, whereas Oblivion had zero world integration for fast travel and Skyrim had the bare minimum.>totally unbalancedyes, unbalanced like all TES games. But it's unbalanced in a very fun way. I think being able to fly around the map or teleport everywhere provided I perform some work to get there, or one shot everything with my weapon if I train like rocky balboah and abuse stimulants is really cool. >and i'm 41doesn't mean anything. I like morrowind and I'm gen Z
>>5638266people actually fell for this obvious guerilla marketing
>>5639163There are people who don't think Jeremy Soule's music isn't a core identity of Elder Scrolls. I already know TES VI is going to be bad but it'll be FAR worse if he's not doing the music for it.
>>5639753Yeah considering the horrendous quality Bethesda has been churning out, having TES6 function as a peaceful walking simulator with Jeremy Soule music in the background is one thing they would have succeed at even if everything else was garbage. Now it's up in the air if even the ambience will be nice.

>>5638156based>>5638169no>>5639722detect key is actually useful, lots of locks have keys that are hard as hell to notice. Like I didn't know sirlonwe's chest had a key until I saw someone else grab it
>>5638804banger
the sixth house not being joinable was the worst thing about morrowinddagoth nerevar teamup would have ruled tamriel
>>5639753Just look at starfield and its "soundtrack".It's abysmal. Same combat song playing every few seconds, I couldn't tell if there's any variation.Main theme is drums and horns and that same theme is present throughout whole "soundtrack".Half of Elder Scrolls success is soundtrack, it's stupid denying that.Games by themselves aren't anything impressive, they are quite average. It's the soundtrack that inspires players to explore the world within the game. That's the best I can describe it with words.Really, if they'll keep that hack zur for elder scrolls 6 it's going to be a massive flop.
>>5638189>Oblivion was dogshitThus making it peak elder scrolls.
>>5641363Zur isn't even the problem, check out what he did for Fallout 76. The problem is Bethesda not even knowing what kind of tone they were trying ton convey in Starfield. I still don't think they even know what they wanted with Starfield except for "DUDE MULTIVERSE LMAO." When they can't even figure out what they want their game to say, I have to assume Zur did what he could. F76 might be a horrible launch for a game, but the exploration and the (previous) lack of people while you're following story beats is pretty lonely and great. The man can do work but he legimately needs something to work with:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfyB1nR2MGA
>>5641814At least Patricians and sessions video did educate some
Fucked up that there is a longer distance of time between now and skyrim than there is between skyrim and morrowwind. They should have got their fucking fingers out.
>>5638156
someone got any npc interaction webms?
>>5640000this doesn't sound like AI
>>5638169Oblivion always makes me feel nostalgic, but it's fucking unplayable without mods that fix the enemy scaling and leveling system.
>>5643137I'd believe it, Wes Johnson is pretty based.
>>5638044More Skyrim please
>>5638169based DagothRPG
>>5639726Yeah, was pretty obvious. The moment Balenciaga got some heat for their pedophilic imagery and scandals behind the scenes, suddenly, completely (((organically))), there's 700 AI balenciaga videos clogging up the catalogue to bury the controversy. Youtube was complicit, but what can you do, this world is satanic.
>>5638189>Oblivion was dogshitSo was morrowind, but at least oblivion fans will acknowledge their game has flaws. 90% Of the vocal morrowbabies are just zoomers who watched a video essay on youtube and want to suck off morrowind for gamer cred anyways.
>>5644836I'll defend Morrowind to the death and I've been playing since 2003.
>>5638190Where they are actually looks like Skyrim too. Lmao I love this
>>5644836morrowind was perfect, the only mod you """""need""""" is the graphic one so you can push out the fog
>>5644836You oblivion and skyrim babbies are always so salty when you're reminded that Morrowind is the objectively superior gameKinda like Fallout zoomers when F1 and F2 are brought up
>>5644836But anon, Oblivion WAS dogshit. It had the worst localization ever: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/de/wiki/Schw._Tr._d._Le.en.-W.
>>5638804I love the keytargonian
comfy skyrim
>>5644508Party hard

>>5645887Player equips command spells. These spells are meant to be used to make enemies fight on your side, but they're easily exploitable for other endsPlayer uses command spell on travel NPC. Morrowind doesn't have fast travel like Oblivion and Skyrim, instead you have NPCs in silt strider stations or ports that allow you to travel to other cities for a modest fee. Being that the NPC in question now follows the player, it allows him to fast travel to other cities from anywhere by just talking to himPlayer takes the fast travel NPC to the final dungeon. Normally you can't leave this dungeon until you've completed the mission and the spells you'd normally use to teleport out of there are disabled, but the developers didn't think of the possibility of taking the fast travel NPC with you in there, so that still worksPlayer casts command on the Heart of Lorkhan. That is the thing you have to destroy to complete the main quest. It technically counts as a creature, so when command is cast it will "follow" the player, although it can't move it will fast travel with himFinally, player fast travels taking the Heart of Lorkhan with himPlayer has brought the Heart of Lorkhan, the final objective of the main quest, to Seyda Neen, the very first town of the game, all without cheats or mods
>>5645044All the backgrounds are edited in. Or rather, the Top Gear blokes are edited into the actual Skyrim backgrounds.
>>5645767What musical instrument is this? Harp? Mandolin? Guitar?
>>5646294Neat thanks
>>5638113I actually quite enjoy ESO if it's treated as a single player title. Pick it back up every few years and have a good time going through all the content. I just wish fellow lore autists would stop seething over it's existence.
>>5646659Hammered dulcimer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hQ4taBuTG8

>>5640022young scrolls is great
>>5644836You spoke the truthThey got mad
>>5645044anon...I
>>5646434Wow, these graphics are great. Is it unreal engine 5 or a modlist?
>>5647219I find it pretty ironic that they cannot accept retcons when the series has retconning happens in universe.
>>5638044What ???
>>5646434>oblivionthat's clearly kcd
>>5638189Aside from bad leveling mechanics Oblivion was good, easily the best quests.
>>5651497the leveled enemies/weapons thing was way overdoneno reason an artifact weapon from a daedra prince should be useless because you got it at too low of a level.
>>5638048I enjoyed this, thank you.
