It's certainly not full of direct syllables like Japanese or Korean. Chinese music, if it is trying to be classic or introspective, may also try to incorporate that chinese mandolin sound in the melody. Now, it's done with synthesizers, and has a broader range than the original instrument, but it still sounds ethnic as in the youtube song below.

In Chinese music, I particularly love a genre known as gufeng yinyue, "Ancient-Wind Music." I think that this is a modern, diverse style that tries to evoke the sounds of ancient China. It tries to be emotional and, when I listen it, I feel like transported to another world. You can find it on YouTube by searching for 古风音乐. I am sharing some songs as well! I like this very much. The lyrics are a real poem from Qu Yuan 屈原, one of the greatest poets of China. The work is named "The Spirit of the Mountain" 山鬼, it's about a feminine "spirit" that lives in a mountain with trees, bamboo, streams... she has a profound lovesickness for someone who left and never came back, so she collects aromatic herbs to get away her thoughts.

Does anybody know how to make WEBM For Lazys more effectively clamp down on file size? It can set it a a limit, but it just cuts out footage instead of degrading the quality.

I think it cuts footage if it can't reasonably lower the quality to keep within the file size. Just have to play around with other things like frame rate and resolution until it works.
