Hello. Just as the headline states - I have copped a secondhand DS1/PS1 controller in emerald green locally, and I am genuinely curious about the uh...yellowing that is shown around most of the "edge" areas; but especially most heavily concentrated around the shoulder buttons.

Any anons good with identifying as to whether this might be either due to:

>smoking residue/exposure
>urine/piss
>immense and consistent light exposure
>etc/misc guesses?

Sun damage

Huh. Well hopefully this and/or smoke is the most likely culprit (and not piss), lol...that's all that matters/that im worried about here.

You could open it and see if it's on the inside.

cheeto dust

its piss do not even question it
nearly all plastic stuff like controllers or handheld consoles have this yellowing as the plastic gets older, I have no idea but it is pretty common. it could also be due to greasy hands, or piss even. only way to find out is to give it a lick
stick it out in the sun for a few days and it will go away.
