A few weeks ago, YouTube rolled out yet another carpet bomb update that has seemingly halted the ability of any/all software to be able to download videos>4k Video Downloader>Y2Mate>JD2>ytdl>video downloadhelperThe list goes on. Have any of you found working, effective ways to download YouTube videos, for free, preferably with 60fps quality (when available)?

>>1488404>>1488423Seems like youtube has been adding or changing stuff everyday for weeks, you can tell jdownloader adds updates daily just for youtubeJdownloader works well for me but if it doesn't sometimes you need to update it and close it then just open it again after the update, and for downloading hundreds of videos I had to add an account - on plugins / accounts add your youtube username + use the extension Flag Cookies for the password session copy/paste but it works longer if you do it on incognito, same exact thing for google driveAlso anyone knows the best settings for jdownloader on twitter? I usually crawl around 1.5gb of data before it gets shut down by a limit or something

What's nice about some of these is that they allow you to download things like the caption text, thumbnail images, or one of the alternate audio tracks. All the love to jd2, but I think this newest rollout from YouTube has put the nail in that coffin. It's been several weeks now and JD2 still hasn't been fixed/caught up.

So you've got countless guys going "huh, there are no new problems", and other guys getting hit with ??? In my case I prefer JD2, it completely failed a month ago, as did yt-dlp. JD2 rolled out a fix after a week that worked perfectly, it only worked for 2 days. After 2 days every account required video would only download at the lowest possible resolution, yt-dlp did something and works but only wants to download maximum resolutions for me when I prefer 1080p

Trying a non-USA proxy on it results in a restricted country notice.
