My retarded roommate used this on the dishes and cleaned them with regular dish soap afterwards is it safe to eat from them? Will the dish soap rinse off the degreaser completely or should I soak them all in water for a while?

Yeah, I buy used pots/pans and have nailed them with oven cleaner plenty of times. Can't hurt to give them a thorough scrubbing after just to careful, but I'm sure ANY residue would have a very noticeable flavor

a dishsoap like dawn is also a type of degreaser with a difference emulsifier makeup.

if you're nervous, then throw it in the dishwasher on a cycle with hot water.
