How can I tell where I downloaded this from and if it's a virus? Was going through old files and randomly found these. Is there a way to upload these for someone else to analyze the code?

also if those are for youtube, that's fucking stupid, just use yt-dlp, it's a battle tested open source solution used by anyone who knows what they're doing
>>1497009ah shit, am I fucked? apparently I've had this activated for well over a year now...I ran a scan with malwarebytes and it didn't detect anything even in the registry.
>>1497012Crack tools often get detected as malware even if they only do their intended function of cracking. If you had no accounts stolen or anything like that since you used it, it's likely you're in the clear, but I would still recommend you format and install a fresh copy of your operating system.

>>1497025just reformatted to be safe but is there a way to tell what's in the actual exe code and what it does?
>>1497063generally not, once source code is compiled to binaries (or .exe files) only machines can read that shit now.
>>1497063For humans that's difficult because of complexity. That's what the virus scanners via heuristic do.Heuristic is the other function besides looking for known signatures by watching how a program behaves, what requests it gives to the OS, and from that estimate whether it's malicious or not.You can in your virus scanner increase the strictness, but that can lead to false positives.
